Headphonies
Thursday, October 30th, 2008
Headphonies, designed by Eran Weinberg, a designer toy AND mini-speakers! These mini speakers are 2.8″ tall and come with a USB charging cable, headphone cable and keyring clip. The first set coming out will have designs from MAD, Eran and Frank Kozik, as well as 2 blanks -a blank and a white. They are all limited and come out this November. No word oh price but I’m sure they will cost you a few pretty pennies and some shiny new nickles! If they are expensive they better have good sound quality! Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Speak Bundle available for Pre-order on Amazon
Thursday, October 30th, 2008
As I was looking through Amazon for xmas ideas, I decided to look for Animal Crossing: City Folk. This an Animal Crossing: City Folk bundle was one of the results! You can pre-order it now for $70!!! The only reason I haven’t pre-ordered it through Amazon is because it comes out November 16th, that is a Sunday so I wouldn’t get it til Monday . . . and THAT SUCKS!!!
I did a little more research and you aren’t able to pre-order it on Gamestop.com, BestBuy.com or ToysRUs .com. The only other place Google told me you could get it was play.com.
Developer Says Some DS Games May Not Work With DSi
Thursday, October 30th, 2008
This is just a rumor for now, but it’s kind of a big deal. Pocket Gamer is reporting that an unnamed developer is having problems with a DS game that they’ve been working on. It seems to be crashing on the DSi hardware. This is one of the many reasons that NIntendo needs to stop being so damned secretive with developers. This studio could have been working on this game for God-knows-how-long and now they find out that it might not work with the new DSi? Yeah, lame.
Have Your Art On The Cover of Street Fighter IV
Thursday, October 30th, 2008
Capcom is having a contest where one lucky artist will receive the honor of having their art on the inside cover of Street Fighter IV. You won’t get any money or prizes, but at least people will catch a glimpse at your creation for the .5 seconds it takes them to remove the SF IV disc from the case. So, yea… good luck and all that.
Check out the official Street Fighter IV site for more details.

Crazy Mega Man 9 Stop Motion Short
Thursday, October 30th, 2008This Mega Man 9 stop motion short was filmed by using cut out pieces of paper and random things from around the house. It was made by Nicolas Ménard for a multimedia class. I definitely don’t remember anyone being that creative in any of my multimedia classes.
My favorite part is the Oreo cookie boss.
Thanks to brown_jon for tweeting me the tip last night while I was getting delicious diet green tea at Wal*Mart.

2009 Nerdcore Calendar Gets All Sci-Fi
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Ah, the infamous Nerdcore Calendars. Hot chicks are adorned with costumes and props that they have no clue about, but at least they get a paycheck. The 2007 calendar had a gamer theme and it was cute; chicks playing GameBoys naked in their room and things like that. Then, last year they decided to go all PhotoShop with this weird SuperHero theme that I wasn’t really feeling, but boobs are boobs so I guess I can’t really complain.
The 2009 calander keeps up with last years trend of incorporating background effects, but they look way better this time around. Expect lots of half-naked chicks with crazy sci-fi-inspired guns and anime-lookin’ hair. Yes, I will be getting these.
Nerdcore 2010 - Elves and fantasy hottness. I’m calling it.

Play PSP Games With Your SNES Controller
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Sadly, I’ve never delved into the world of PSP homebrew, but I hear that it’s pretty amazing. After seeing this fresh mod that lets you use the SNES crontroller to play games on your PSP, I might have to do a little research and get some “legal copies” of my oldschool games onto a Memory Stick so that I can play at work.
The coolest part about this mod is the fact that it was made for a girl that has limited use in one of her hands. She has trouble with the PSP controls, so a friendly modder by the name of [foo] was nice enough to whip this up for her. Awesome job.
Check out The Foo’s blog for the full story with more pics of the modding process and a video demonstration.
