Munny Monday: RE4 Chainsaw Munny
Sometimes I’ll find myself randomly Googling Munny ideas to see if anyone’s pulled them off. A few weeks ago and I Googled “Resident Evil Munny” thinking that I might find a zombie, or Jill Valentine, but I actually found something way more awesome.
Uberbot held a custom Munny show called MUNNYOCALYPSE and there were quite a few fresh customs on display, but this RE4 Munny by Warren Hart aka .famousafterdeath really caught my eye. Since I’m a huge Resident Evil fan, I had to get ahold of this guy about doing Munny Monday, and I did. So here it is. Check out the interview and more pics after the jump. Oh, and an awesome pic of Warren getting his head chopped off with a chainsaw. Luckily, he’s recovered since that fateful incident.
How freaking awesome is Resident Evil? Are you pumped for RE5?
I am in love with everything Resident Evil, from the games, toys, movies, accesories, I can’t get enough. Its the perfect combination of the staples in my life, zombies and video games. I enjoyed the entire series so far but my favorite is still RE2. My favorite enemies of all time are chainsaw man and nemisis. And I can’t wait to play RE5 , I’m HIGHLY anticapating the co-op game play and the new ax man and chainsaw man..
Is this particular custom for sale?
This piece is for sale at the uberbot store in winter park, fl. Its $150,
it’s a little much but its only because its on consignment and I spent a
pretty penny on all the clothes. It also took some time, about 5 horror
movies and 1 action flick long.
Are you available for commission?
I am definitely available for commission. I’ve been working hard at
getting my name out into the world lately. I’ve been doing some customs to sell.
soon. My new t-shirt designs are featured and are for sale at
famousdeath.redbubble.com. And I’ve been doing a lot of photo editing and
logo designs for my coworkers. I’m always looking for something to work on.
Out of all the characters and baddies from the Resident Evil series, what made you pick the chainsaw guy?
I chose the chainsaw guy for a few reasons. First off it pays a great
homage to his late cousin the chainsaw massacre, which is one of my
favorite horror flicks. Second, the burlap sac mask brings fear to the
masses. It’s the fear of what may be behind the mask. Third. When he
gets a hold of you in the game, its one of the top 3 video game deaths of all time.
It never gets old.
Any plans to do other Resident Evil characters?
I actually want to make the new axe man character that will be in RE5.
I’m just waiting for a good picture or toy to release to the public.
What got you in to toy customizing in the first place and what do you love most about it?
I’ve been drawing since I was a kid but in the last year or so I’ve
ventured into more 3 dimensional art projects. I started doing customs when I found some DIY toys at urban outfitters. Other than the munny myother pride and joy is my wooden puzzle berretta. I’m still work-in on.

Okay, say you’re stranded in a Spanish village, surrounded by locals who’ve been infected with Las Plagas, what do you do?
