Legend truly was a mighty movie, even if it does have Cruise. The 80s was mos def the era for epic "family" movies that still managed to scare the shit outa me (looking at you, Labyrinth)
When I think of giant creatures made of rock, I think of The Neverending Story, they need to get the Henson crew in for SotC and make some mountain sized muppets :D
The second the main character speaks in this film will ruin it, for the same reason, a Legend of Zelda movie can never be made (at least, made properly). No doubt it will be 'tweaked' for the mainstream and as such, will kill it.

I honestly think this movie will just sit in pre production hell for a long time. It will keep getting passed around, bloggers will keep blogging about it and it was just fade off.

I wish they would make a movie adaption of something like assassins creed. At least that has a building base.

If it ever does come to be, I do have faith that SOMEONE in Hollywood could nail it. Whether it will or will not land in the right hands is in the air.

But I do think it could be done.

I am more excited to see bioshock come to the screen. That game has great movie qualities.

The only way this movie could have been good is if it was made in the 80s. It would've maintained that core theme of isolation felt in the game without being boring. Think of something along the lines of 'Legend' and 'Enemy Mine' mixed with 'Bear'.
