Pokémon Calculus Fail

Some wise-ass kid didn’t know an answer to one of the questions on a calculus quiz, so instead he drew a picture of Charizard along with the explanation “I couldn’t figure out this problem, but here’s an amateur drawing of a Charizard, I hope that helps…”

A logical thing to do under the given circumstances.

When the when the kid received his graded paper, he saw that his professor responded with his own amateur drawing of a Blastoise with the words “Blastoise uses water cannon. It’s Super Effective! Charizard fainted.”

Fucking amazing.

  • I can't help but think that the kid also drew the blastoise. That red handwriting is too close to the black for my liking.
    But in saying that, I WANT TO BELIEVE! :D
  • Yeah I noticed that shortly after I posted his. I'm almost positive the kid drew it. Lookit the "z"!!! The handwriting's way to similar.

    If you look at the teacher's handwriting at the correct answer the handwriting has clean lines whilst the handwriting under the blastoise is shaky like that of the kid. This is most definitely a fraud.

    Clearly, this is a new trainer. Blastoise's signature move is called "Hydro Pump", not "Water Cannon". In fact, "Water Cannon" is not a move know by any Pokémon.
  • I could be totally wrong, but isn't there a move called "Hydro Cannon" that you can teach a starter Pokémon with a high enough happiness level?

    Math 1502 is Georgia Tech's Calc II class. Halfway through they abandon any pretense of calculus and switch to full time linear algebra. Not that I mind; can't stand calculus =P

    As for the authenticity, I can't make any guarantees, though it wouldn't surprise me. This IS the school where a physics professor dressed as Gandalf, walked into a review session, and decreed, "You shall not pass!" before he started handing out review sheets.

    No, this is actually legit. The TA drew Blastoise smaller, uses parenthesis instead of brackets, and I actually know the kid who did it.
