Hey, check out the new site!

Spent all night fixing up this sexy new version of Albotas.com. It’s a new year, so I figured it was time for a new look. I still need to find some sort of plugin or way to show featured posts with thumbnails on the right sidebar. If anybody knows the trick or a good plugin, get at me!

I’ll be taking the day off to head to the emergency room for some wacky shenanigans my body’s been going through lately. I’m kinda’ scared, to be honest, but I’m semi-confidant it’s nothing serious. Let’s keep those fingers crossed!

In the meantime, why not check out the super-duper-awesome new message boards!

    Some suggestions:
    - Button text seems too light, I thought they are disabled. You might want to enable a mouse over change in text color.
    - Might want to add a forum link to the navigation area, next to home, about, contact

    Hope the drug will help with your tinnitus.

    I am not a fan of the width that spans the entire window, but color wise, its much cooler.


    You can achieve the thumbnail feature by using custom fields and a little bit of WP code that is widely available. Check out wordpress.org for some documentation.
  • Just got back from the Doc's. Apparently I may have tinnitus which is an inner ear infection that causes hearing loss accompanied by an annoying ringing sound and a sickening loss of balance. It kind of sucks. I was pretty scared because I thought it was M.S. which my dad has. Then the Dr. freaked me out when she said it might be Lyme Disease. Thankfully it's none of those. I'm on a prescription of steroid and some other weird thing I can't pronounce, but the ringing, vertigo, and hearing loss might be permanent. LAME!

    Good think you don't need hearing in your left ear to blog.
