Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition Gets Screens, Trailer, and Release Zone

Some assets for the XBLA version of SFIII: 3rd Strike have made their way onto the Internet. Two sets of screens show the difference between 4:3 and 16:9 display modes, a trailer with silly kinetic typography shows off the gameplay, and a release range of Summer 2011 has been set.

I can’t imagine this game being arcade perfect as the trailer says, but as long as it’s not broken as hell, I’ll definitely pick it up. SFIII is the pinnacle of fighting games. How could you say no to an online version? I think I wrecked my left thumb playing 3rd Strike online on the Anniversary Collection for Xbox. At least now we can use proper sticks.
