Perhaps the greatest comic book to come out in the last five years or so, Saga has been grabbing all sorts of nominations and awards all over. After winning three Eisner Awards (Best Continuing Series, Best New Series, and Best Writer) this year alone, the title has received a Hugo Award over this past weekend in San Antonio, Texas, presented at LoneStarCon 3. The Hugo Awards were created in 1955 by the World Science Fiction Society and aim to recognize the best in science fiction and fantasy. Saga won that award this year for the Best Graphic Story category. It beat out other nominees: Grandville Bête Noire, by Bryan Talbot Locke & Key, Vol. 5: Clockworks, by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez Schlock Mercenary: Random Access Memorabilia, by Howard Tayler and Travis Walton Saucer Country, Vo. 1: Run, by Paul Cornell, Ryan Kelly, Jimmy Broxton and Goran Sudžuka Congrats to Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples on the incredible win.
