Behold The Badassery Of Mega Charizard X
Remember this guy? Remember how the foil version of his original Pokémon trading card still goes for mad money? Ah, nothing beats a classic!
Well, accept maybe this guy. This is Mega Charizard Y. I’m sure if he got in a fight with a regular Charizard, things would get pretty nuts. You can have your regular Charizard transform into this beast by letting him hold Charizardite Y, an item only obtainable in Pokémon Y. Once transformed, his Special Attack goes up like crazy and his ability changes to Drought which powers up Fire-type moves. Mega Charizard can also learn the move Blast Burn.
But if you think that’s nuts, check out this crazy mofo.
Dun dun dunnnnn!!! Bask in the glory of his badassery! Unlike other Charizards who are Fire- and Flying-type, Mega Charizard X is Fire- and Dragon-type! Which kinda’ would make sense for all Charizards since they’re freaking orange dragons, but this just makes Charizard X even more special and awesome.
LOOK AT HIM! Don’t you just want to use him to murder things? And check out that sexy color scheme! Doesn’t it remind you of something?
Our Albotapus mascot is as big as a planet and feeds on the bones of entire civilizations, so I’m pretty sure he’d destroy the living poop out of a Mega Charizard any day of the week.
Owners of Pokémon X version can obtain the Charizardite X Megastone to Megaevolve their ‘Zards into this beastly colossal titan who’s ability changes to Tough Claws which ups the power of moves that make direct hits. He also learns the Dragon-type move Dragon Tail which deals damage and can force an opponent’s Pokémon to switch out during battle. Well that’s just rude. Awesome, but rude.
Check out this new gameplay trailer showing off Mega Charizard and his fancy new moves!
And because we love you, here’s a bunch of screenshots of Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y straight from the games.
Who do you think would win in a fight? Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y?
