The Asylum, a film studio and distributor that specializes in low-budget direct-to-video ripoffs, is prepping its release of the fourth Mega Shark title in its series, Mega Shark vs Kolossus. I normally wouldn’t ever talk about a film that’s as poor as this, but there’s an exception here, and it’s fairly hilarious. Mega Shark vs Kolossus is ripping off the Colossal Titan from Attack on Titan. The Asylum has literally created the concept of a Colossal Titan fighting a gigantic shark.

Here’s the film’s synopsis from The Asylum’s website:

In search of a new energy source, Russia accidentally reawakens the Kolossus – a giant robot doomsday device from the Cold War. At the same time, a new Mega Shark appears, threatening global security. Now the world must figure out how to stop the deadly giants before they destroy everything on land AND sea.

That “Kolossus” character is skinned pretty damn similarly to Attack on Titan’s Colossal Titan, isn’t it? Surely they know what they’re doing here, since the film is releasing next week in Japan and isn’t hitting American audiences until this July. Be sure to hit up your local Walmart’s bargain bin if you’re looking to watch this terrible knock-off movie and check some stills from the movie below.
