MF DOOM and Danger Mouse’s Danger Doom Project Is Getting A Reissue Kevin April 10, 2017 Lifestyle The collaborative album between influential music producer Danger Mouse (Gorillaz, Beck, The Rapture, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and rap veteran MF Doom is getting a reissue, all thanks to Doom’s imprint Metal Face Records. The Mouse and The Mask: Metalface Edition will include a reissue of Danger Doom’s original LP, The Mouse and The Mask, as well as Adult Swim’s free-to-download Occult Hymn EP. The reissue will also include two previously unreleased tracks including a collaboration between MF Doom, The Roots’ Black Thought and Vinny Price on a track called “Mad Nice,” as well as a song called “Spokesman.” Also included will be a Madlib remix track from the original deluxe released of The Mouse and The Mask. For those unfamiliar with Danger Doom, the project is one of the most successful to come from Doom’s hefty discography of releases, and perhaps Danger Mouse’s most hip-hop laden project to date. The Mouse and The Mask was an ode to hip-hop, cartoons, and Adult Swim, with most of the album’s skits featuring voiceovers, samples, and references from Adult Swim shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Unfortunately for all you vinyl collectors out there, this reissue is only available on CD. The album was pressed as a vinyl 2xLP reissue two years ago and has since sold out. For those wanting to grab The Mouse and The Mask: Metalface Edition CD can find it over at FatBeats. Listen to Doom connect with Black Thought on“Mad Nice” down below.
