The Last Call seems like a decent enough concept: audience members register their cell numbers before the screening, then the protagonist calls random audience members and asks for help. I could see it being fun for repeat viewings just to check out the different outcomes, but the over-dumbing of the protagonist seems a bit corny. Do they really need the audience to make ever little decision like “should I go right or left”? Hopefully this sort of thing paves the way for more interactive theater experiences that play out less like choose your own adventure books and more like fully interactive experiences.

Bonus points for the first interactive horror flick that lets you navigate the protagonist through gratuitous sex scenes.

About the headphones, DLi$h says:

Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’m not entirely feeling these. Overall I think the concept is cool, but there’s something about the stitching that just seems a tad sloppy. Maybe the brownish part is overlapping the white on the stitching too much?

The only problem is, once I run out, I have to get more printed up and that takes time and money. Enter Poken. Poken is a digital business card that also acts as an online social networking tool of sorts. Using Poken you can keep track of all the people you meet (assuming they use Poken as well) and even when you met them.

Poken come in two different flavors. First up is the SPARK. Each PokenSPARK has a big ol’ hand and when high-fived with other Pokens, the palms light up green to let you know that information has been exchanged. You can then plug your Poken into a USB drive, log on to Poken.com, and check out the details for people you’ve recently Poken’d, or Poked, or whatever. There’s also plans for limited edition designer sparks featuring styles by top artists.

If you’re turned off by the cutesy characters, there’s also the more business-savvy PokenPULSE which doubles as a 2GB flash drive.
