Now would also probably be a good time to point out that the 8″ Ninja Spiki is my favorite vinyl toy that I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

There’s a pretty awesome Instructable posted by Motadacruz showing how to make this rad Domo-kun nightlight for kids using some stuff he had around the house. Looks like a fun little project to take on during a lazy weekend, so I might give this a shot.

Series 1 will be [...]]]> Artist Andrew Bell has teamed up with the tech gurus over at Google to turn their little green robot Android mascot to life! Produced by Dyzplastic, the Series 1 (which obviously implies the inevitable Series 2) contains 12 blindboxed designs standing at 3 inches and they even have rotatable heads and arms.

Series 1 will be available later this month on the Dyzplastic site, in an online Android collectibles shop, and in specialty retailers. For wholesale inquiries contact DKE distribution.

Maybe it’s just me, but 8-bit in 3D doesn’t seem all that immersive or exciting, even by 80’s standards. But just look at Mario in that picture. His mind is obviously blown to smithereens. Funny how game ads back then tried to trick you with realistic paintings even though everybody knew the games looked nothing like that.

Thretris customized this thing to look as though it was found in the depths of Rapture or something. He even gave it a Pro Sound Mod and replaced the standard red LED with an orange one.
