Cool Kids Never Die is a sweet looking pop culture inspired art show taking place in New Mexico on February 20th and from the looks of the art below, this event will be nothing short of awesome.

Fun Fact: a short scene for this was filmed a few minutes away from my house at one of the few landmarks in our town, The Pagoda. I tried to sneak up and get some pics, but roads were blocked from about 2 miles away and there was no way in hell my unfit blogging ass was gonna’ walk 2 miles for a few pictures.

A few of my friends on the west coast had themselves a shindig for the Lost Season 6 premiere. They made up some Dharma Initiative labels and slapped ‘em on all the essential party goods: cola, tortilla chips, cheese salsa, guacamole, water, and even Tic Tacs!

A few of my friends on the west coast had themselves a shindig for the Lost Season 6 premiere. They made up some Dharma Initiative labels and slapped ‘em on all the essential party goods: cola, tortilla chips, cheese salsa, guacamole, water, and even Tic Tacs!

And it was all topped off by this Dharma Initiative brownie cake thingamajig.

He’s most famous for his series of zombie films: Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Land of the Dead, and Diary of the Dead. His 1973 film The Crazies (think Night of the Living Dead, only people are turning into psycho serial killers instead of zombies) has recently been remade and hits theaters on February 26th.

Happy birthday, George! You’ve made planet Earth, like, a gazillion times more awesome.

Whenever I look for something to feature on Daily Graffiti, I usually just browse places like Flickr or DeviantArt and type in something along the lines of “[insert geeky pop cultural reference here] graffiti” and hope something awesome pops up. It’s always a crapshoot and you’d be surprised to know how much awesome stuff there isn’t graffiti of, but I’ve just always assumed  I wasn’t looking hard enough or maybe no one uploaded the pics yet. Other times I’m surprised when I search for something completely random like Danger Mouse or, in this case, the Angry Beavers, and actually stumble across some pretty fresh results.

It’s because of this that I’m enacting an official Albotas.com Rule #34 of sorts:

I won’t waste time explaining the plot since the trailer already does a fine job of that. Instead I’ll show you this bigger picture of a promo pic for The Losers all done up like one of the comic covers.

I kinda’ wonder why Aisha and Clay have traded spots in the promo, but I don’t think I mind one bit. Zoe Saldana’s curves look way better in the center than Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s would have. Mmmmm. Good Lord…

Mark those calendars, kiddies! Edgar Wright’s live action adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s indie comic sensation Scott Pilgrim vs The World hits theaters August 13th.

Now, I know I was skeptical at first, but then I started warming up to the idea. I have faith that Edgar Wright can pull this off — he did Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz for cryin’ out loud! And besides, even the movie winds up being only half as good as the comics, it’ll still be freaking amazing.

If you haven’t read any of the Scott Pilgrim books by now, I highly recommend you go take care of that ASAP. It’s about a 20-something slacker in a crappy indie band and he has to fight this girl’s seven evil exes before he can go out with her. Oh, and when he beats dudes, they turn into coins and he levels up. Its kind of brilliant.
