A friend just linked me this Craigslist posting he found on Something Awful’s FYAD section, posted by a Dover, Massachusetts resident looking for a full-time (possibly even live-in) dungeon master.
Here’s an excerpt from the posting in question:
I have inherited a large amount of money and I no longer have a need to work. I would like to hire a full-time Dungeon Master to facilitate all role playing games. You could live in-house or commute. I can offer you a room if it means you can also lead late night sessions.
Skills you may need:
* Creativity
* Computer skills
* People skills
* Ability to make quick decisions
* Work well with deadlines and under pressure
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or dice; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 4 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
