Random Purchase of the Month: Dreamcast DreamEye
I try not to be wasteful with my money since I don’t have a lot of it. But once in a while I see something unusable yet so totally awesome that I have to whip out my velcro Duran Duran wallet. Plus, as a Dreamcast collector, I couldn’t pass up this complete in box DreamEye. The DreamEye was the first camera peripheral for a console (Game Boy Camera being the first for portables). Using the included cable, mic, and VMU-style adapter, you could use the DreamEye as a webcam or still camera when going online with the system. It came with the Divers 2000 Dreamcast, the holy grail of Dreamcast hardware, as well as by itself in a cardboard box. The Dreamcast fizzled out too quickly for any games to take advantage of the camera, but Sony quickly created their Eye Toy in response.
