Halftone Comic Halloween Costume

comic-re-1

When it comes to dressing up like comic book characters for Halloween, this chick doesn’t mess around. She easily could’ve been Wonder Woman or Bat Girl, but she went oldschool and got made up into a halftone dot-printed comic character.

Was anyone else captivated by how huge that earring is?

Check some costume-in-progress pics after the break. Continue reading “Halftone Comic Halloween Costume”

What if Michael Jackson made ‘Spider-Man’? He almost did!

From Splash Page:

“I had been to his place in Neverland … and he wanted to do Spider-Man,” Lee told MTV News. “I’m not sure whether he just wanted to produce it or wanted to play the role, you know? Our conversation never got that far along.”

It’s crazy that once you reach a certain level of fame, you automatically have the right to hang out with amazing people. So the most influential pop singer and music icon wants to hang out with the dude who created some of the most iconic super-heroes and ignited the imaginations of generations of readers? Man, if I coulda’ been a fly on the wall of that room.

The Walking Dead: Compendium One

Speaking of zombies, I totally forgot that The Walking Dead Compendium Volume 1 came out today! This 5 lb., 1088 page book collects issues #1 through #48 of the most epic zombie tale ever written. It typically retails for $59.99, but right now it’s only $37.79 on Amazon!

My comic book collecting habit got a bit out of control a few years ago ($300 a week, no lie) so I quit cold turkey. The last issue of The Walking Dead that I remember reading was issue #31, so I might buy the compendium to re-read the old stuff and catch up on what I missed. Shit, I could sell my first issue of Walking Dead and buy like three Compendiums, but I’m a stingy comic hoarder who likes to let his rare shit gather dust in boxes.
