If draping a severed dinosaur head by its tongue around your neck is your cup of tea, then this is probably… your cup of tea. You barbarian.
Fashionably crafty dino cruelty can be yours for $45 right here.

The only thing hotter than a geeky chick is a geeky chick with a fun fashion sense. This Nintendo Game Boy Dress by Amber from Sew-Oeno (that’s her posing in the above pic) goes for $60 and Amber will even make one in your size if you contact her. This dress would go perfect with a pair of Space Invaders tights. [Via Technabob]
There’s a step-by-step explanation (in Japanese) of how this was built, along with plenty of pics, here. [Via Sci-Fi Wasabi]
Wash your stinky ass with NES controller soap from DigitalSoaps! Perfect for the nerd in your life who’s not too keen on hygiene. And best of all, it smells like Mountain Dew! Warning: If it’s your nerd’s first time bathing with NES controller soap, do not let him go unsupervised as they may try to eat the soap due to its Mountainy Dewy scent. The Etsy seller who made these is actually all sold out, but they have lots of other cool soaps at their shop like iPods, Xbox 360 & Sega Genesis controllers, Tetris blocks, and Space Invaders. Here’s a Blue Turtle Shell ornament by Jaime Margary. Get one on eBay. Please throw this at a car during rush hour traffic and send me a video. Thanks in advance. [Via Super Punch]
Resident Evil felt hand grenades – not as effective as the real thing (or a zombie outbreak simulator), but still pretty awesome. The guy who made these says:
This leads me to believe that this dude’s a huge pussy. Everyone knows that real men throw actual grenades at their television sets whenever they disapprove of lame and non-manly programming. More plushey explodey grenadey pics of awesomeness[Via Geek Crafts]
For the plush collector out there (you know who you are), Italian Etsy crafter Naomi Vona aka marikokoda has created Bubboli. With adorable handcrafted designs and cute names like Bubu, Wasabi, and Papaia, you can get a Bubboli of your very own or as an X-mas present for the plush-hoarder in your life for anywhere from $15 – $30 depending on size. This beats your regular old toy store plushies any day of the week and since they’re made by hand, you know they contain high concentrated amounts of love — something that toys made on an assembly line just don’t have. Naomi promises more Bubboli to come later, but there’s currently 9 terrific designs to choose from on her Etsy page.
This is the first, and probably the only time that I’ll ever utter the following words: I fucking want that mailbox! Fine! Here’s the stinkin mailbox (nimcraft) [Via Wonderland]
Crafty artist Beru Betto has a tutorial on his blog which shows you how to turn your paper towel rolls into pixel art. Like most good ideas, I speculate that this one came to Beru while he was on the toilet. This brings a whole new meaning to the term papercraft. Can you imagine how many dumps this guy had to take before he could finish one of his pixel characters? I wonder if he sped up the process with late night Taco Bell runs and a few laxatives.

A few days ago I posted these awesome Left 4 Dead Beaded Sprites from Geek Mythology Crafts and I commented on how awesome it’d be if they wound up doing a set of zombies from the game. Well, Vilsy from Geek Mythology Crafts left a comment saying: “Thanks a ton for featuring our L4D survivors! JJ actually did make the special infected zombies, but we haven’t put them up for sale (yet!). You can check them out at our DeviantArt or Flickr sites though if you like! Sadly the Hunter ran away before we could photograph him. Next time, you duct taped devil, next time! http://geek-mythology.deviantart.com & http://www.flickr.com/photos/24235415@N07/ Thanks again! There you have it folks. Some time soon, you’ll be able to recreate your favorite scenes from Left 4 Dead in beaded sprite form! Thanks, Vilsy! |
