If any of you are stupid enough to consider having nerdy little offspring of your own some day, just forget it. This kid is cuter and a goblillion times more awesome than anything your sperm or ovaries (or both?) could ever produce.

Marvel just created the most amazing thing in capsule toy dispensing technology since the slap bracelet. Instead of wasting money on capsules that just get thrown away, the toy makers have decided to make each character’s head the capsule!
The character lineup consists of The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man. They’re a measly $1 each and only stand at about 2″, but their bodies come packaged inside of their heads and they’re just so freakin’ cute!
When I first saw the above image, I thought that this was some sort of retail packaging for people who don’t have any cool capsule dispensers in their area, but it’s just a display for the vending machines. I’m gonna’ have to bug my local comic shop to get these since they usually have some pretty cool capsule stuff in their machines. If you want to bug your local shops to carry these as well, tell them they can order them in bulk from Gumball.com at this link: http://www.gumball.com/marvel-heroes-2-inch-self-vending-buildable-figures.aspx These things look way fun to collect. Too bad there’s only six different characters. I could totally see talented toy customizers making some sick work with these things. [Via Geek Orthodox]
Fans of the pantie-fest/cutesy-moe anime Strike Witches will be pleased to know Alter has started taking pre-orders for a 1/8 scale Erica Hartmann PVC. Read on for more pics and info. Continue reading “1/8 Erica Hartmann PVC [Strike Witches]“ →
Spotted this handmade Liono plushie over on Etsy. It was made by the awesomely-named Love and a Sandwich and I think you’ll agree that it’s pretty freaking badass. More pics after the jump. Continue reading “Thundercats hoooooooo! Awesome Handmade Liono Plush” →
Remember 3D Dot Game Heroes, well this is like that, only without the sexily-rendered hi-res 3D pixels and complete Zelda ripoffery.
Don’t like ‘em? No biggie, in Classic Dungeon: Magic Team Assistance, you can design your own sprites (just like in 3D Dot Game Heroes).
As for the battle system, it seems pretty original and relatively deep. Since I don’t really understand it, I’ll just copy/paste directly from Kotowari:

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger by Arc System Works was easily one of the best fighting games to come out in 2009 and the series is finally making it’s debut on a Nintendo system. BlazBlue Battle X Battle will be available as a DSiWare download for 500 pts. in Japan some time in January. Unlike Calamity Trigger, Battle X Battle features ultra-cute big-headed versions of the BlazBlue characters, a simplified control scheme, and free-roaming battles (think Power Stone, Bushido Blade, Ehrgiz) that support up to 4 players. You can check out a video here around the 37 minute mark. Why can’t more amazing DSiWare announcements come along. I’m sick of calculators. [Via GoNintendo]
Go check out Tokidoki’s holiday collection over at Tokidoki.it and get a free limited edition Bastardino tree charm (only 200 available) for any order over $75! For those who don’t know, Tokidoki is the brainchild of Italian illustrator Simone Legno. The Tokidoki brand spans across the realms of fashion, toys, stationary, and art. It also gets bitches wet and could possibly get you laid.
I’ve seen my fair share of Street Fighter themed custom toys, but I’ve never seen one that’s really blown my mind (except for this one). I’d always hoped that I would be the first one to make a truly epic Street Fighter Munny, but since I’m a lazy bastard, Emmanuel Pérez del Río beat me to the punch.
Way better than I could’ve done anyway. Awesome job, Emmanuel! If you have any awesome custom designer toys that you’d like to show off, email me!!! [Capcom Unity via Toycutter]
For the plush collector out there (you know who you are), Italian Etsy crafter Naomi Vona aka marikokoda has created Bubboli. With adorable handcrafted designs and cute names like Bubu, Wasabi, and Papaia, you can get a Bubboli of your very own or as an X-mas present for the plush-hoarder in your life for anywhere from $15 – $30 depending on size. This beats your regular old toy store plushies any day of the week and since they’re made by hand, you know they contain high concentrated amounts of love — something that toys made on an assembly line just don’t have. Naomi promises more Bubboli to come later, but there’s currently 9 terrific designs to choose from on her Etsy page.
After dishing out her fun-filled recipes on the Nintendo DS, Wii, and mobile phones, Cooking Mama will finally be setting up shop in arcades! The cutesy cabinet and 46″ touchscreen will probably only show up in Japanese arcades, but isn’t it pretty? Here’s a video of the Cooking Mama arcade in Cooking Mama-ing action: [Via GameSetWatch]
While all the hip kids her age totally get that Jeimy’s “pew pew” knuckle tattoos (complete with cutesy pink font and badass lightningbolts) are a reference to the amazing sound that lasers make, all the out-of-touch, non-internet-savvy folks just think it’s Jeimy’s declaration to the world that she has stinky fists. Tactical Urban Gears (TUG) is a new clothing brand based out of Singapore. They just released their first batch of 5 limited designs, including the above shirts featuring the ninja-in-training Hiro and his badass little sidekick cat thingy. While these limited edition tees are a little bit on the expensive side ($29 – $36 USD), if you’re into Japanese-inspired design with an urban twist, these shirts may be just what you’re looking for. And since each design is printed in limited quantities, you’ll be sure to stand out in a crowd.

These adorable USB gadgets not only look like knockoffs of Tokidoki characters, but they also warm up your hands and make great massagers. And ladies, if your hands don’t need warming or massaging, you can always use your vaginas. They also come in an array of fruity flavors, but no peach, which is a shame. I could eat a peach for hours.
Vagina. Big thanks to Jenny, who may or may not be using one of these things as a masturbatory aid, for sending this in!
Play-Asia.com is currently selling these adorable Super Mario Galaxy figures at the discounted price of only $3 each! I just ordered the squid-lookin’ dude because, let’s be serious, he’s obviously the coolest-looking of the bunch. Get them here before they’re all sold out!!!
Although this site is usually filled with all sorts of nerdy things like posts about movies, video games, and comics, some of my favorite sites on the internet cover none of those things. Some of my absolute favorite sites are Last Night’s Party, HighSnobiety, and Hipster Runoff, but my absolute favorite of favorites would have to be LOOKBOOK.nu. Maybe it’s I consider myself somewhat of a fashionable guy or something. Idunno, maybe I just like fashion photography. Or maybe I just like pictures of fashionable ladies
Whatever. So anyway, today when I went on, I saw this girl and my heart nearly exploded. I’m not normally one for blondes, but all a chick really needs is a cute smile and a cute outfit and I’m sold. Plus, she’s Swedish, so she probably has an adorable accent.
Carry on. [Via Lookbook] |
