The Awesome 80's Inspired Artwork of Michael Steele

I’d never heard of Australian artist Michael Steele before, but regular Albotas.com commenter and message board user Don Schwabs recently visted a Steele exhibit at Australia’s Gorker Gallery called Accumulating. Don puts it best when he writes “His works are made of pure awesome extract. They’re clusters of colour and show glimpses of all the cool shit from your childhood (well, mine and anyone else born in the 80s at least). It’s almost as if the little prince from Katamari has rolled his ball through my mind and picked up all the stuff I love then dumped it on canvas.

Go to any art shows lately? Know of any that are coming up? Why not share the awesomeness over on our message boards?

Daily Graffiti: “Aint Play’n”

Don Schwabs aka the dude who made the Scribblenauts Munny aka the greatest Albotian who ever lived took this pic of some Nintendo inspired graffiti that he spotted near a train station.

Fucking awesome find, dude! I love the little mean face on the cartridge.

Is there any awesome graffiti in your neck of the woods? Why not send it in to brownkidd@albotas.com to be featured on Daily Graffiti? Seriously, stop keeping all the good graffiti to yourselves, you selfish bastards.

Scribblenauts Munny by Don Schwabs

Don Schwabs sent in some pics of his custom Munny, which he cleverly named Munnwell, based on Maxwell from Scribblenauts!

Don writes:
“Although it’s about my fifth custom started, it’s actually the first one I have fully completed. I’d hoped to get it finished by launch (technically I have since it doesn’t come out in Aus till the 30th of Sep :D ) but ended up reworking a few things. Anyway, enjoy. Can’t wait to play the game and get my rooster hat :D

Excellent custom, Don! Now I’m wondering what a blank Munny would look like in Scribblenauts style..

You can check out more pics and some WIP shots over on his Flickr page.

You can also send me pics of your own customs, love letters, n00dz, hate mail, and any other shenanigans at brownkidd@albotas.com and I’lltry my best to post it on the site, just as long as I’m not too busy trying to come up with weird words to write in Scribblenauts.
