Classy Professor Layton DS/DSi Case for the Geeky Gentleman

Since I have the word “gentleman” in the title of this post, I figured that now would be a perfect time to utilize a a pretty amazing jpeg that’s been collecting dust on my desktop.

Okay. Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, we now return you to your regular scheduled post about something.

Professor Layton is the frustrating-but-awesome brain teaser game for the DS that everyone loves, but few have the patience to actually complete.

Mori games has designed a very gentlemanly DS/DSi case shaped to look like a book and it even features the professor layton tophat logo embossed on the front and on the zipper pulls. it can be yours for $23.90 from NCSX.

If you’re not quite one for gentlemanly leather cases, there’s also these DSi covers in brown and a slightly-less gentlemanly wine red.

The DSi covers are available from NCSX as well for only $20.90. If you have to chose, I’d say spend the extra $3 and go for the awesome leather bookish one. Go big or go home and good day, sirs!

Nyko’s DSi Zoom Case is A Little Bit On The Ridiculous Side (but I still want one)

If you have a DSi and $25 to spare, why not waste it on Nyko’s Zoom Case. The Zoom Case takes higher quality images with a humorously enormous 8x zoom lens. The lens can be detached from the case, but there’s still a bulky nub over the DSi’s camera lens, so this doesn’t seem like the most pocket-friendly DSi case out there.

It looks like images taken with the Nyko Zoom Case still retain that DSi graininess, but it’s nice that Nyko’s thinking about those hardcore DSi photogs. The $25 doesn’t hurt much either.

And here’s all the whozits and whatnots that it comes with. As silly as it is, for only $25 I think I want one.

“Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days” DSi Case

Although it’s not as awesome as the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days DSi bundle coming out in Japan later this year, fans with lighter wallets might want to settle for this not-too-shabby Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 DaysHori protective case from for their newly-purchased DSi. It’s not as bulky and obtrusive as most cases and at only $14.90.

If you like the case, but aren’t a Kingdom Hearts fan, Hori also makes the case in Clear Blue, Clear Black, Clear Pink, and just plain Clear for only $9.90. If you don’t want to sacrifice your DSi’s sexy matte finish, Hori even offers a Matte White and Matte Black case for $12.90 each. See? The world’s just full of great options!
