For The Ladies: Game Boy Tube Dress

The only thing hotter than a geeky chick is a geeky chick with a fun fashion sense. This Nintendo Game Boy Dress by Amber from Sew-Oeno (that’s her posing in the above pic) goes for $60 and Amber will even make one in your size if you contact her.

This dress would go perfect with a pair of Space Invaders tights.

Wash the nerdstink out with NES controller soap.

Wash your stinky ass with NES controller soap from DigitalSoaps! Perfect for the nerd in your life who’s not too keen on hygiene. And best of all, it smells like Mountain Dew!

Warning: If it’s your nerd’s first time bathing with NES controller soap, do not let him go unsupervised as they may try to eat the soap due to its Mountainy Dewy scent.

The Etsy seller who made these is actually all sold out, but they have lots of other cool soaps at their shop like iPods, Xbox 360 & Sega Genesis controllers, Tetris blocks, and Space Invaders.

Bubboli – Handmade Plushies by Naomi Vona aka marikokoda

il_fullxfull.104521510

For the plush collector out there (you know who you are), Italian Etsy crafter Naomi Vona aka marikokoda has created Bubboli. With adorable handcrafted designs and cute names like Bubu, Wasabi, and Papaia, you can get a Bubboli of your very own or as an X-mas present for the plush-hoarder in your life for anywhere from $15 – $30 depending on size.

This beats your regular old toy store plushies any day of the week and since they’re made by hand, you know they contain high concentrated amounts of love — something that toys made on an assembly line just don’t have.

Naomi promises more Bubboli to come later, but there’s currently 9 terrific designs to choose from on her Etsy page.

L4d Custom Beaded Zombies

beadedl4dzombies

A few days ago I posted these awesome Left 4 Dead Beaded Sprites from Geek Mythology Crafts and I commented on how awesome it’d be if they wound up doing a set of zombies from the game.

Well, Vilsy from Geek Mythology Crafts left a comment saying:

Thanks a ton for featuring our L4D survivors! JJ actually did make the special infected zombies, but we haven’t put them up for sale (yet!). You can check them out at our DeviantArt or Flickr sites though if you like! Sadly the Hunter ran away before we could photograph him. Next time, you duct taped devil, next time!

Thanks again!

There you have it folks. Some time soon, you’ll be able to recreate your favorite scenes from Left 4 Dead in beaded sprite form! Thanks, Vilsy!

Left 4 Dead Mobile

l4dmobile

This Left 4 Dead mobile is for sale right now on Etsy for $36. Since I don’t have a crib and the product description says “Not recommended for children,” I’m wondering who this thing’s intended for.

Weirdo gamers who sleep in adult-sized cribs. That’s who.

*Googles prices for adult-sized cribs*

Other awesome mobiles fromt he seller include a Team Fortress Mobile and a Pirates vs Ninjas Mobile.

Homemade Fairy in a Bottle

bottledfairy

You’ve got no idea how many times I’ve dropped dead after getting kicked in the face by a bad guy and had to wait for the ambulance to shock me back to life. It’s a nuisance and the smell of your own electrocuted flesh lingers in your nostrils for days. Sometimes I really wish I could just imprison my own little life-restoring fairy in a small, uncomfortable bottle that I could wear around my neck.

Thankfully, Etsy craftster YellerCrakka is selling these awesome handmade bottled fairy necklaces that will be instantly recognizeable to anyone who’s played a Zelda game. The fairies are handmade, smaller than a pea, and come in Pink, Violet, Blue, Gold, Red, Green, Bright Pink, or Teal. If you happen to stop by YellerCrakka’s shop and they’re all so out, no biggie, just request one and it’ll be made just for you.

*Note: if you actually die while wearing one of these, a magical fairy won’t really save your life.

Kirby Throw Pillows

kirbythrowpillows

My girlfriend’s youngest son Giovanni (JoJo for short) is probably the biggest Kirby fan on the face of the Earth. He draws different Kirby pictures every day and usually cuts them out and plays with them as if they were action figures. He has every Kirby game ever made and his room is filled with plush Kirbys of every kind. For his birthday one year, we made him Kirby cupcakes and he nearly had a heart attack.

If he ever saw these Kirby pillows, his little head would surely explode.
