DLi$h just sent it pics of his latest work: a pair of custom Skullcandy SK-Pro headphones with a custom 8″ Lilly Black figure. They look like something a DJ would wear while spinning at a rave in a steampunk post-apocalyptic future. Don’t believe me? Hit the jump for a better look.
When the inevitable zombie apocalypse arrives and shakes humanity down to it’s core, this is the only weapon I’d feel safe defending myself and my loved ones with.
Also, is anyone else’s mind so conditioned by pop culture and video games that they think of a chainsaw as a weapon instead of a tool, or is it just me?
To celebrate the recent launch of ChipMusic.org, chiptuner/console modder extraordinaire Thretris banged out this hot Game Boy complete with a Pro Sound Mod and custom lettering.
The overall paint job on this is killer and the modding process doesn’t even seem all that hard. Thretris has an easy-to-follow tutorial which you can find right here.
If any of you out there are curious about making chiptunes of your own, I highly recommend bookmarking Thretris’s blog. There’s a heap of valuable resources totally worth checking out.
Because there’s no way to honor the birth of baby Jesus like rigging up Christmas lights to play a giant game of Guitar Hero on the side of your house.
What do you get when you mix a Christmas Light show with Guitar Hero? Christmas Light Hero! A real game you play with a Wii wireless guitar controller. Optional TV screen is available if you get in trouble, but if you use the screen, you don’t get your name in the high score list.

Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch will play as if Megaman suddenly turned 3D. Everything will play as if it was being played back in 1987. Levels will use purely 8-bit textures and sprites. Megaman will jump high and take damage recoil. Weapons will behave exactly as they did back then, only from a 3d perspective. The plan is to eventually have all the levels and weapons from Megaman 1-6 (and maybe 9). Obviously some weapons will have minor changes because there are a lot of clones throughout the series.
It’s 2009 and people are STILL making Doom mods!?As long as they look this awesome, they can just keep on making ‘em.
You can currently download the early alpha build of Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch here.
Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that the makers of this mod are spelling Mega Man as one word (Megaman) instead of the proper 2-word spelling?
Mad props to Greg, who beat the original 6 robot masters and Dr. Wily WITHOUT cheating, for the tip.
I’ve featured countless custom designer toys and custom console mods on Albotas throughout the years, but these custom NES systems by Thretris (spotted on Tiny Cartridge) are the first I’ve seen that have sort of a designer toy aesthetic. The polish and level of professional quality on these are amazing.
The line between toy customizing and console modding is just a bit more blurry.
This is the Killtendo Entertainment System (KES) and is a companion to another Thretris custom, the Billtendo Killboy
Dubbed Sky, all I can think of when I look at this one is Mega Man.
This one’s called 80’s Reborn, which I can kind of see, but this one gives off the biggest designer toy vibe.
And since we’re on the topic of custom NES consoles, check out this red velvet NES by Phil McCoy and sexy-ass Battletoads NES by Phil’s friend Greg which were also featured on Tiny Cartridge:
This is the NESticle, not to be confused with the NES emulator. Aside from the silly-yet-awesome name, it houses working Sanwa joystick parts and works with the Xbox 360, PS3 as well as Mac, Windows, and Linux machines.
As cool as it is, I kinda’ wish it was facing the right way. You have to turn the console around in order to play it an everyone knows that staring at an NES’s ass isn’t as cool as staring at its frontal goods.
Modder airz whipped up this sexy NES emulator inside of an NES cartridge and it even has a video-out funtion so that you can play the games on a TV! It also plays Gameboy games, Gameboy Color games, and MP3s.
The mod was made using one of those bootleg emulators from China that shady vendors at the mall always try to sell. I wonder if anyone ever tried modding a GP2X into an NES console…
Street Fighter IV just recently came out for PC and you know what that means: an onslaught of naked Cammy and Chun-Li mods!!! Hit the NSFW jump for soooo many polygonal boobs and vaginas. Sooooo many.
Oh, and there’s also a video of Cammy in a skimpy bikini fighting a Sagat skinned to look like the black African American Green Lantern.
