Zombified Star Wars Posters of the Dead

To coincide with the release of the latest Clone Wars episode “Brain Invaders”, which involved the clones and a Jedi becoming zombies, the Star Wars guys did a zombie theme for this week.

The above two are my favorites, but I kind of wish the typography on the Return of the Jedi poster was a little more rough and dirty to match the rest of the art.

The Goonies Poster That Should Have Been

tumblr_ktipeq2l151qz9qooo1_500

I spotted this Goonies artwork over on Suicide Blonde, but I couldn’t find out who did it. The bottom of the poster has the web address for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, but I still couldn’t find out any info on the artist.

Can anyone out there tell me who made this?

*UPDATE*
Stephen Vincent in the comments brings the knowledge! Apparently the artist is Drew Millard who I’ve never heard of, but makes insanely sick work.

UK ‘Couples Retreat’ Poster Removes The Black Couple

COUPLES-RETREAT

The picture in the top left features the U.K. promotional poster for the movie Couples Retreat. Without black people. The picture in the top right is the U.S. version of the poster. With black people.

I wanted to make a joke about Brits being racist and putting the F.U. in U.K., but instead I’ll just post this quote from The Mail on Sunday:

The studio said it regretted causing offense and has abandoned plans to use the revised poster in other countries… A Universal spokesman said the revised advert aimed ‘to simplify the poster to actors who are most recognizable in international markets’.

A.K.A. The U.K. hates blacks, but they love them some Vince Vaughn.
