I was at the book store looking at magazines with my girlfriend the other day and we spotted this terribly awesome (as in: terrible + awesome) Pac-Man haircut in an issue of Inked. Had to snap a pic and share it.
But it’s no Batman hair…

As a semi-professional blogger for one of the most amazing geek news sites on the internet, I tend to hand out a few business cards at conventions and press gatherings. One thing I’ve been on a seemingly never-ending quest for is a badass business card holder that says “Yes, I’m a giant nerd, but I mean business!” After the jump, check out six awesome business card holders by Banpresto inspired by retro games. Three of these are currently available, the other three are pre-orders that won’t ship until March 2010. They’re all limited edition and the most expensive one is only $10.90! Breaking news! President Obama has a Pac-Man sticker on his Apple Powerbook! A black Pac-Man!!! Would it be non-P.C. to call it Blac-Man? It’s like some sort of poignant social commentary or something! If you want to be as awesome as the president, you need this to live or else you will die!
Whew, I’ve been looking for what seems like eternity in hopes of finding a sticker that works on an Apple laptop or desktop. Technology these days is so vast and I can never tell which stickers are compatible with my machine.
z0mg!!1! Look how freaking awesome you could be if you had one of these: Look up at Obama. Now look at the blond chick. LOOK AT THEM!!! See how awesome they are? Now aren’t you jealous? Yes, of course you are. Make yourself feel better and spend money on Blac-Man here. It’s only $3 for a single sticker and $12 for five! It’s like some sort of deal or something! Be like Obama, be a Blac-Man.
This video for the song “Follow Me” by Pato Pooh featuring Adam Tensta is just brilliant. It mixes classic 8-Bit gaming sprites with some 2009 glossy design aesthetic. The song also has a chiptune vibe to it that’s actually pretty awesome. Seriously, you need to watch this. You can also download Pato Pooh’s entire album here. Just click the link that says LADDA HEM ALBUMET GENOM ATT KLICKA HÄR. [Via 4CR]
Sick retro gaming bomb piece spotted in San Francisco by DJVelveteen. A scene from Dig Dug can be spotted all the way in the back.
To prepare for his role as dancing monkey-child who loves Pac-Mac cereal, Christian Bale traveled back in time and took 3 months of cheesy 80’s choreography lessons. And I thought that he was a dedicated actor when he lost 63 lbs. for The Machinist! God damn it, that cereal looks fucking tasty. [Via Infinite Lives] Take equal parts of MTV’s Jackass, mix it with Pac-Man, dump it out in France, and this is what you get. [Via Kotaku] |
