Cave Story drops as a WiiWare download on March 22nd and these sick shirts designed by James “HARVEYJAMES” Harvey and Mitch “spacesick” Ansara are set to drop the same day over at video game culture shop Attract Mode. The designs were even approved by the guy who made Cave Story, Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya himself.
Kotaku.com aka the greatest gaming blog in all internet-dome (it’s an honor to be mentioned on the same list as them) has an amazing new T-shirt designed by Jason Chan who also worked on Dragon Age: Origins and made this absurd “Zombie Playground” painting.
What I love about this shirt is that it’s so subtle, but it still screams Kotaku. From the color scheme, to the cake (seriously, the dudes at Kotaku love cake), and, of course, the pointer fish.
And since the internet is obsessed with cute anthropomorphic versions of things (see OS-Tans), the centerpiece is the all-new Kotaku-tan character. Check out the little details like the D+Pads on her suit.
Spoiler alert: I’ve been drafting up an cute Albotas chick mascot forever, but I’m telling you now so you don’t think I stole the idea from Kotaku. Anyways, I really stole the idea from Danny Choo, so there!
You can pick up one of these fresh new tees in black, asphalt, or organic colors for $24 from the newly re-launched Meat Bun. It’s also worth checking out Meat Bun just for the cool pixel art by Paul Robertson.
JackThreads are offering a select amount (10, to be exact) of Kidrobot t-shirts originally priced from $36 to $45 for only $15. The sale will only last a few days and you need an invite from a JackThreads member in order to take advantage of the sweet deals, but luckily I’m a member and I have your invite right here.
Totally gonna’ pick up that “Toys Are Stupid” tee.
The dudes and dudettes from FancyPantsGangsters just put out some fun new geey shirts. My favorite is the R2D2 Cage Unit tee pictured above, but there’s also the foreboding apocalyptic Sara Palin shirt and a cool beer-drinkin’ Witchblade by Rick Basaldua from Top Cow Comics.

Italian artist/customizer/designer Riccardo Bucchioni was previously featured on oldschool Albotas in a weekly segment that some of you might remember as Munny Monday (all those old posts were lost in the server switch earlier this year) and he recently shot me word that he designed three new tees based on the tv show Heroes for Funkrush Clothing.
Each fake promotional tee features a mock business from one of 3 Heroes characters. There’s Nakamura Travels, Bennet Cheerleading Camp, and Sylar’s Clock Shop.
Each shirt goes for £20.00 (about $32 US)
The dudes behind Funkrush are also behind Supercombo, makers of the Space Invaders/Darth Vader shirt dubbed Space In-Vader, which has previously been featured on the site. Be sure to check out their blog for updates on all their newest wares.
Here’s a shirt that most sane people would probably never wear in a million years, but it’s still kinda’ interesting, I guess.
Game Paused is selling this Link t-shirt with the following description:
Become a Legend with this very special Cosplay tee as worn by the Hero of Time himself. Traverse rugged terrain on horseback, explore dungeons, collect rupees and free the Princess in this inspiring t-shirt. Featuring the Master Sword on the back and belt, buckle and dungeon key on the front, this is a tee you will not want to be leaving home without – because every day is an adventure!
From the description, it seems like they either want you to believe you can go on a Zelda-like adventure while wearing this shirt, or they’re telling you that you should only wear it in the comfort of your own home while playing video games.
There’s even a Master Sword strapped to the back.
Would any of you wear this in public (conventions don’t count!)? Let me know in the comments!
Our friends at Single Second, makers of the awesome Zombie Bowser Jr. t-shirt, are having a huge holiday blowout all through the month of December and taking a whopping 40% off every order. All you have to do is use the code blood40 upon checkout and boom! Savings, son!
This would be the ideal time to pick up some of those fresh tees that you couldn’t afford earlier in the year, or maybe you could pick up a white Zombie Bowser Jr. tee for a close friend, or maybe your favorite blogger… in a size medium plz!
Just remember, all prices on the Single Second online shop are marked in Canadian dollars. Happy shopping, you fashionable bastards.
Tactical Urban Gears (TUG) is a new clothing brand based out of Singapore. They just released their first batch of 5 limited designs, including the above shirts featuring the ninja-in-training Hiro and his badass little sidekick cat thingy.
While these limited edition tees are a little bit on the expensive side ($29 – $36 USD), if you’re into Japanese-inspired design with an urban twist, these shirts may be just what you’re looking for. And since each design is printed in limited quantities, you’ll be sure to stand out in a crowd.
If the shirts are too rich for your blood, you can pick up this fresh sticker set above for just $4!
This Bowser t-shirt is brought to you by the netcasters (they have some sort of vendetta against being called podcasters) at FancyPantsGangsters.com. I especially love the pixelated fireball sprites on the front.
Finally, you can live out your lifelong dream of standing around on bridges and waiting for strangers to approach you for a battle to the death.
