BioShock 2 DLC Coming in March

Today 2K games announced “an aggressive post-launch downloadable content plan for BioShock 2 that extends and enhances the single and multiplayer experiences by adding more glimpses into the award-winning world of Rapture.”

Things kick off this March with the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack which will hit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Games For Windows for 500 points, and the PlayStation Network for $5.

Here’s what you can expect in the new DLC (from the press release):

• Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
• New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials*
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• Five additional masks*
*Some items are only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher.

2K Games also promises more downloadable chapters for the single player campaign. Looks like Rapture has a lot more stories to tell and I think I speak on behalf of the hardcore BioShock fans when I say we can’t freaking wait.

*Note: this info was taken from a U.K. press release, so dates and pricing might change for the U.S. release, but I think it’s safe to say that this is pretty accurate.

Horror Puzzler ‘Soul’ Available Now on Xbox Live Indie Games

Kydos Studio just released Soul on Xbox Live Indie Games for just one dollar! This looks like it’ll have some survival-horror-ish scares mixed in with some simple-yet-addictive gameplay.

In Soul your goal is to bring the soul of a dead man to heaven throughout mazes that are going to test your dexterity and composure.
Are you good enough to avoid ending up in hell ?

Check out the trailer after the jump.

Wait, there’s a King of Fighters shmup!?

500x_kof_ss_mai02

A lot of people were pissed to find out Mai Shiranui wasn’t included in the King of Fighters XII roster, but at least SNK had the common sense to put her where she truly belongs: a shmup. Wait, what?

The King of Fighters: Sky Stage is a vertical shooter set in the King of Fighters universe. The title is set for an XBOX Live Arcade release.

I can’t freaking wait. No matter how silly and pointless it seems.
