DoDonPachi: SaiDaiouJou 360 Confirmed for May 30 Release
What will likely be Cave’s final release for Xbox 360 will launch on May 30 according to the famous shoot ‘em up developer. The arcade version of the bullet hell game was released last year. This is presumably the final game in the DoDonPachi series, which started with DonPachi back in 1995, and is the followup to the very awesome DoDonPachi: DaiFukKatsu. The Japanese version will likely be region-locked, but Rising Star Games have been localizing recent Cave shooters like DaiFukKatsu and Akai Katana.

Region Free Cave Release on the Way
We non-Japanese got burned when Cave region-locked DoDonPachi: Dai Fukatsu. But it seems like they had a way-too-late change of heart. In November, Europeans will be able to buy a kind-of-region-free and enhanced version of the game, according to Rising Star. Named DoDonPachi Resurrection Delux, this version will feature a handful of extras and a soundtrack. The Black Label and 1.51 versions of the game will be available as DLC.
The best part of the news for us Americans is that the game will play perfectly fine in a US 360. It will not work on Japanese consoles though. I’ve still got the original version sealed, sitting on my shelf. I’m sure I’ll get a Japanese 360 sooner or later. But in the meantime, this version is pretty tempting.

Hey folks, I was on Twitter (follow me @hunterf if you’d like, I’m fairly active.) and I saw a tweet offering a bitchin’ deal on Halo: CE Anniversary And thought I’d pass it along to you guys. If you plan on buying it, you should probably order it now and from Newegg. With this coupon code, you can get the game for only $30, which is a pretty damn good price. The game won’t actually be available until November 15th, but you could but it now, forget about it, and think of it like an early Christmas present for yourself. The coupon code is: EMCYTZT622 for those of you that would prefer to just copy and paste it.

The trailer for Gears of War 3 dropped this weekend, but we were too busy with Memorial Day Weekend crunkness to post it, so here it is.

Soul Calibur 5 - Official Announcement

Hot off the heels of the “Soul Cal Boob Chart" comes the official Soul Calibur 5 announcement! Officially announced in Dubai late last night (around 11:00 PST) the game will see a 2012 release on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. We’ve went ahead and boiled down some of the early information into some easily digestible facts:

- SC5 will take place 17 years after SC4.
- Patroklos will be the story’s protagonist - he is the son of Sophitia and Rothion.
- Will NOT be called Soul Edge 2 as rumored!
- Character customization will remain intact (but no fetish or skimpy outfits!)
- Will remain a 1-on-1 fighting game.
- Siegfried/Nightmare will be in this game.
- You can check out a bootleg trailer here!

New Asura’s Wrath Trailer.

Blending Asian mythology with science, this game looks like God of War on steroids, cocaine, and PCP. The above trailer is nothing in comparison to the TGS trailer which you can check out on our YouTube page.

The basic premise of the game puts you in the shoes of Asura, a dieti who’s had his powers ganked by fellow gods who are clearly b-holes. Sound familiar? ::coughgodofwarcoughcoughcough:

Whereas Kratos from the God of War games uses the Rage of the Gods to fuck shit up, Asura will use his own rage which makes him a bit more badass.

Asura’s Wrath drops for 360 and PS3 later this year.
