REVIEW - CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
Guess who saw an early screening of Winter Soldier and had his mind completely blown away. This guy.
Not sure if this is real or fake, but as more and more countries get their advance screenings of Winter Soldier, it seems like the scene of Cap’s to-do list that was posted last week has been tweaked for different territories. Makes sense to have different cultural references for different cultures. Above is a shot from the Korean version listing Dance Dance Revolution, Oldboy, and Ji-Sung Park. The version shown in England reportedly includes The Beatles, Sean Connery, and 1966 World Cup while the Colombian version apparently listed Shakira, of all things.
Here’s a screenshot from Captain America: The Winter Soldier showing Cap’s to-do list. Poor dude. Frozen for nearly 70 years, there’s a lot he has to catch up on like Thai food, educating himself on the ups and downs of the Berlin wall, and apparently he’s unsure about Rocky II. At least he got Star Wars out of the way.
Sheesh, Steve! You should put buy a smartphone on that list because there’s totally an app for keeping track of all that stuff. Christ, you could knock that list out in a few days ON a smartphone!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4 and shoe & toy customizer extraordinaire Sekure D (check out our video interview with him here) went all out on a pair of Jordan 6’s and embellished them with all the iconic details of the O.G. Captain America suit. At first glance I though these were a legit licensing crossover which is a true testament to the artist’s skills and super clean lines.
Sidenote: Anyone catching the early premiere of Winter Soldier going on in select cities tomorrow?
Here’s The Trailer for Captain America: Winter Soldier
Here’s the trailer that was teased yesterday. I’ll admit, I always thought the straight-laced old timey WWII hijinks of the first Captain America flick came off as a bit hokey. It’s no fault of the film, really. That’s just part of the characters story and it never really resonated with me. But teaming him up with S.H.I.E.L.D. on hi-tech espionage missions? Yeah, I can totally get down with this. Also, Black Widow. Hhnnnggg! Needs more Coulson, though.
Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
Here’s A Teaser Trailer For The Teaser Trailer Of Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Trailers for trailers are stupid, but we’re posting ‘em anyway because the Marvel cinematic universe is just plain rad and Black Widow’s new hair-do is super sexy. Not as sexy as those curls in Iron Man 2, but still pretty damn sexy.
The REAL teaser trailer debuts tomorrow. We’ll keep you posted on any developments regarding Black Widow’s hair in the meantime.

Kills Nerdstink Dead: Marvel Superhero Soap
Ever go to a comic convention or wait in line for a midnight movie screening or video game release and think to yourself “Man! Haven’t these people ever heard of soap!?” Now, thanks to Luxury Lane Soap and the power of the internet, if there’s anyone out there not using soap, they’ll be smelling fresh to death in no time after one look at these bad boys. Here’s a heaping buttload of Avengers graffiti spotted in New Jersey by markchevy. That photorealistic Iron Man and Captain America piece is all kinds of legit and holy hot damn the lettering on the Thor one! Skills.
Custom Marvel Micro Munnys By Rocketboy Customs
Ryan “Rocketboy” McClure sent us these pics of some recent commission pieces he did featuring Munny versions of Wolverine, Captain America, Thor, and Punisher. Pretty impressive, especially considering they’re each just 2.5” tall.
Marvel x Kidrobot Munny Figures
Kidrobot’s Munnyworld meets the Marvel Universe when the famous DIY vinyl toy platform gets superheroic (and villainous) makeovers on July 25. Spider-Man, Iron Man, Venom, and Wolverine will be available as both 7-inch Munnys and 4-inch Mini Munnys complete with accessories and stickers.
There’s also some upcoming blindboxed sets of 3-inch Micro Munnys and zipper pulls.
We’re gonna’ need a bigger shelf.
Bro, did you ever see this movie called Avengers, though? The only logical conclusion my brain can come up with is that the Hulk is in the new Captain America movie, which probably isn’t true, but would be pretty awesome.
