Top 10 Designer Toys for Halloween
If the designer toy scene had a favorite holiday, it would definitely be Halloween. Tons of artists release limited edition figures based on pumpkins, skulls, candy, and ghosts. Hit the link for our countdown of our favorite Halloween-themed designer toys.
Frank Kozik’s Doku Koinu
Man, I’ve been waiting for this to show up since Frank Kozik showed off his sketches earlier this summer. It’s a super cute / gross puppy with a spider-bat thing on its head. Frank says it should be out sometime in 2014.
Albotip: “Doku” means “poison” in Japanese and “koinu” means “puppy.” So that makes this Poison Puppy.
From the primordial vinyl ooze comes the Dunny Evolved series, featuring Frank Kozik, Kronk, Huck Gee, McBess, and Scott Tolleson. Each artist will contribute three designs to the series for a total of 15 toys. They’ll be out October 10th right here.
Why do you wear that stupid labbit suit?
This labbit will smork a jet engine right onto your house. One side features a normal labbit while the flip side reveals the skeletal remains of said nicotine-addled lagomorph. $75 gets you one of the 666 Kozik pieces. The portal opens on April 25.

Cyborg Labbit: Nemesis Edition
Chuckboy has taken his signature cyborg style and applied it to Frank Kozik’s iconic Labbit. This 7” robo-bunny is limited to 1,000 pieces and will drop here on Pi Day for $60. I think my favorite part is the super cute single-lashed eye.

William, Reginald, & Henry Set from Kozik
Frank Kozik and Arts Unknown have just released this neat-o set of vinyl. The pack is limited to 350 units, some of which have a chase colorway. Grab ‘em for $110 at myplasticheart. It’s almost worth it just for that super cute elephant.

The Internet Is Dicks
Frank Kozik’s 8 inch Mecha Dunny was released on Sunday for $100. Now it’s on eBay for triple that. I usually don’t care about this type of thing, but when it comes to limited edition stuff like this, that shit’s low. There were only 111 of these available. Several people got robbed out of their chance to have one of these awesome toys. And even more will be suckered into paying triple the price tag.
8 Inch Mecha Dunny from Kozik
One of my favorite 3-inch Dunnys is Frank Kozik’s Mecha Dunny. He just released this aweome 8-inch version which includes an art print. Too bad that all 111 of them sold out almost instantly. According to toysrevil.net, they were gone in two minutes, thirteen seconds.
Smorkin’ Labbit Mini Series
Kozik and Kidrobot are at it again. On August 9, they’ll release the Smorkin’ Labbit Mini Series for $4.99 each. Some of the designs are really weird, especially the ones that are standing up, but there are some really cool figures in this series. The purple glossy Labbit and the inmate ones are class. Oh, and that airplane one is amazing.
Kronk’s 8 Deadly Sins Labbit Mini Series
If the Happy Labbit Mini Series was a little too happy for your taste, check out the 8 Deadly Sins series from Kronk and Kidrobot. They’ll be available for $10 each on July 26. That’s a lot for a 2.5” Labbit, but the designs are pretty detailed. Plus, one of them has money hanging out of its mouth. You want it.
New Scott Wilkowski Customs at SDCC
Scott Wilkowski is continuing his Skin Deep style with several more customs. They’ll be available at SDCC but you’ll have to cough up a few of your own bones for these limited toys. There will be six different sets, including David Horvath’s Flatwoods Monster and Frank Kozik’s Labbit. Each set is limited to 25 per color. The Flatwoods Monster is the lowest price of the bunch at $125. That’s a lot, but damn do I want that.
There’s something about Kidrobot and bunnies that just works. New Dunnies every year, Labbits smorkin’ and non. Kidrobot and Frank Kozik recently released a series of Mini Labbits that contains Labbits of all sorts of bright colors with various accessories. Hit the link for Albotas’ review of the Kidrobot x Kozik Happy Labbit toys.
Happy Labbit Mini Series Hops into June
I think this might be my favorite series of mini Labbits. I especially like the ones with metallic finishes and the ones blowing bubbles. They’ll be $4.99 each and will be available next Thursday, June 7.
Clear Labbits Smork Your Wallet on May 10
These 10-inch labbits are clearly awesome. It’s hard to tell by these photos just how clear they are, but either way, they look cool. They’ll be $60 each from Kidrobot on May 10.
