Incredibly Massive Chart of Every Sci-Fi Starship Ever
Excuse the horribly scrunched image above, but holy shit is it cool. Deviant Art user, Dirk Loechel, created this massive comparison chart of nearly every sci-fi starship ever created. It’s got Halo, Star Trek, Star Wars, Warhammer, and so much more. Dirk says he’s going to add even more starships to the image in the new couple of weeks. Want Cheap Games? Amazon’s Got You
This is a great opportunity to catch up on some titles you may have missed from the last couple of years from both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Amazon has some steep discounts on Dead Space 3, Halo 4, Crysis 3, Borderlands 2, Ni no Kuni, Journey Collector’s Edition, and Ratchet and Clank Collection.
None of these titles are over $20.That’s a damn good steal if I ever saw one. Early Christmas shopping exists, so if you know anyone who wants these, I definitely suggest doing it via Amazon.

Cosplay Monday: MegaCon Edition

Excuse the big image drop, but I took a tremendous amount of photos this weekend at MegaCon. I might make a couple of posts today with different cosplays I snagged pictures of. I’ve got too many good ones to hold off on. I can’t upload everything I took a picture of either, guys — there’s just too many to upload.

I actually didn’t get anyone’s info if they were a regular cosplayer, so if you know someone here or if you are actually someone pictured above, drop me an email at cortez (at) albotas (dot) com so I can link you.

Also, fuck. That Black Panther cosplay family is so well done. When I saw that in person, it was surreal. The photo does it absolutely no justice.

Bungie Knows About Their Meme, Guys

If you haven’t seen the image already, at the very top of this post is how the Bungie team stood during their PlayStation 4 conference announcement. Very awkwardly, they stood there, hands avoiding pockets and eyes staring directly into the crowd.

Of course, the Internet couldn’t let that slide, so it kind of became a meme pretty fast. I saw Twitter explode with laughter and found this image that made the entire conference worth watching.

The last image in this photoset is of the full actual Bungie team, poking fun at the Sony conference’s meme. That’s the entire team dressed in blazers in a wallpaper sized image. Kudos to them for being able to laugh at the entire situation. The image was posted on their official website.

Ohio State University Video Game Halftime Show

A Buckeyes vs. Huskers football game is probably the last place I’d expect to see a halftime show tribute to video games. Ohio State University Marching Band’s musical medley is pretty ace on its own. But then you factor in the amount of choreography needed to create all those moving images and you’ve got yourself one hypnotizing halftime show, putting Ohio over Nebraska in more ways than one.

Epic Live-Action War Between Old School & New School Video Games
Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch of Rocket Jump teamed up with VFX house Playfight to create an epic battle in the streets between some of gaming’s greatest icons. We’re kind of bummed at the lack of Pac-Man and Space Invaders, but the ultra-sexy Leeanna Vamp as Lara Croft more than makes up for it.

Death Comes to Harvest
Arbiter Ripa ‘Moramee, one of the Halo franchise’s most fearsome villains, makes a comeback via this digital painting by Gustavo Valencia (a.k.a. kajinman). Unfortunately, this particular Elite made his debut in Ensemble Studios’s underrated Halo Wars, so there’s a pretty good chance you missed out on him terrorizing the humans and his fellow Covenant on the planet Harvest.

Daily Graffiti: Halo Mural
This goes out to everyone who skipped school & called off work to play Halo Reach today. This is mural on the wall of Video Game Galaxy on Concession St. in Hamilton.
This pic was taken in 2005, so we’re not sure if the piece is still there, but it’s damn sweet.
