Han Solo’s Actual DL-44 Blaster For Sale

This is the real deal right here — Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster is for sale on Invaluable with a starting bid of $200,000. This is what Harrison Ford actually held during Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, which is a huge deal for fans of the series. But at that price? You’ve got to have real dedication…

Boba Fett and Young Han Solo Getting Movies
Disney has confirmed yesterday that in addition to a new Star Wars trilogy being in the works, there could potentially be spinoff films starring single characters from the movie franchise.
Today, however, Entertainment Weekly has spilled the beans on who exactly will be getting their own films: Boba Fett and a young Han Solo.
According to the publication, the Han Solo film will cover the events between Revenge of the Sith (Episode III) and A New Hope (Episode IV). The Boba Fett film will be between either A New Hope (Episode IV) and The Empire Strikes Back (Episode V) or Empire and Return of the Jedi (Episode VI).
Sounds interesting enough. Will it be good enough for Star Wars aficionados and crirics alike? Who knows, but I’m sure as Hell going to see it.

A Little Bit On The Custom Console Side: Millennium Falcon Xbox casemod by pizonbongo of Major League Mods. The mod looks relatively simple, so if you’ve got an old Xbox and a Millennium Falcon model kit lying around, check out the Instructables tutorial and give it a go.

A Little Bit on the Carbonite Side: Mimoco have been making little cloth protectors for their designer USB drives for a few years now, but they’re stepping up their game with this Carbonite carrying case. The case is meant specifically for the Han Solo drive. You can buy a set of the case along with a reissue of the Han drive straight from Mimoco.

"Fast… ship?"
With George Lucas’s dumbass changes to Star Wars in the upcoming Blu-Ray collection, it’s a shame that they don’t include the hilarious audition sketches from Saturday Night Live, like the one of Kevin Spacey as Christopher Walken trying out for the role of Han Solo. We’ll have to settle with this drawing by Tomas Overbai (a.k.a. fallen-sun-asylum). “She’s fast enough for you, old man…….That sucked!”

Poor Luke
J. Salvador brings to light the tragic life that is Luke Skywalker’s in his new set of paintings. Looking at all of them, it brings into perspective just how much more in control Luke was over his feelings than Anakin. He had more tragic moments and he still didn’t succumb to the Dark Side. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Anakin was a little bitch. You can buy prints HERE.

Daily Geekstomization: Custom 10-DOH! by Nathan Hamill aka Mark Hamill’s son. This was done for the “So Analog” custom show at last year’s Designer Con. It’s an homage to how Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a game of Sabacc.
I still can’t wrap my mind around the thought of Luke Skywalkers son making a custom NES cartridge figure based on Star Wars. Shouldn’t the universe have imploded by now?

Most Badass Calvin & Hobbes x Star Wars Mash-up Shirt in the Galaxy.
This sexy lil’ thang entitled “Chewie and Han” was created by Chris Wahl and you can score it in a bunch of different colors for $21.73 over on Red Bubble.
I seriously hope this inspires someone somewhere to make their own series of Chewie and Han comic strips. I’d totally do it myself, but I’m way too busy playing video games/reading comics/fapping/levelling up my pokemanz/running an awesome blog to deal with that sort of shenanigans.

What would Han Solo look like with tattoos?

Chris Bishop is a super-rad illustrator who makes super-rad things. Things like a picture of a bear fighting a robot. Or a picture of Mer-Man from Masters of the Universe. Or Han Solo. With tattoos.

So, yeah, check this guy’s shit out because it’s awesome and stuff.
