Hello Kitty Revoltech: Super cute and super articulated
This one kind of came out of nowhere. Kaiyodo and Sanrio are collaborating to create a Revoltech version of Hello Kitty. It comes with interchangeable standard and winking faces, an easel, an apple, and a crayon. The figure will be available in Japan on December 15 for ¥2100 (about $22) but it will probably be about $45 when it makes it over to American retailers.

The Simpsons X Hello Kitty
This unlikely (albeit, unsurprising) collaboration celebrates the 40th anniversary of Hello Kitty and the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons.
"Hello Kitty and THE SIMPSONS have impacted pop culture around the world,” says Janet Hsu, President and COO of Sanrio, Inc. “Our collaboration comes at a perfect time as we celebrate major milestones for both brands. The exclusive product offering will feature a fun and unexpected take on THE SIMPSONS’ transformation within Hello Kitty’s supercute world."
“Fusing Hello Kitty’s iconic design sensibility with each SIMPSONS character, this unique collaboration will delight fans of Hello Kitty, THE SIMPSONS and everyone in between,” said Roz Nowicki, Executive Vice President of global sales and retail at Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. “Just in time for back-to-school, fans of every age can own a special product from the line of this historical collaboration.”
Fans can look forward to the new product line when it drops around the back-to-school season in 2014.
Yes, This Is Happening: Uglydoll x Sanrio
Soon, Hello Kitty will be wearing Ice Bat’s skin. The Uglydoll x Sanrio collab will manifest plush, vinyl, pin, and accessory form and will premier at SDCC.
Hello Kitty Bento Series
They’ve turned Hello Kitty into a lot of things - a KISS member and a Street Fighter character, just to name a few recent ones. But I’ve never seen her turned into a food item. The bento series contains a bunch of food items such as onigiri, peppers, and octopi with Hello Kitty’s face on them. This is just bizarre. And awesome. My favorite is the plush chicken wing above.

tokidoki x Sanrio x Nooka
This watch is all sorts of amazing. Sanrio and tokidoki continue their collaboration, this time roping in super stylish watchmakers, Nooka. Gotta love the tokidoki-ified Hello Kitty characters. I’m hoping for a tokidoki x Sanrio blindbox series some day.
Update: Love Through Design have contacted me and let me know that they have headed up this project and that you can pre-order the watch right here.

Hello Kitty Heroclix Inbound?
A new press release announced a collaboration between Sanrio and NECA which will bring about a new Hello Kitty collection targeted at hardcore collectors.
The most curious section noted that a special Hello Kitty set of the popular (and awesome) Wizkids’ Heroclix is going to be revealed with the set at the New York Comic-Con.
Heroclix is an great tabletop game that mirrors the gameplay of something like Final Fantasy tactics using miniatures from Marvel and DC superheroes. However, with the latest expansions to Heroclix including IPs such as Assassin’s Creed, Street Fighter and Bioshock, it is no surprise that other recognizable properties are getting Heroclix releases. However, Hello Kitty is a bit surprising.
Can’t wait to see what this brings to the game. Heroclix is a fantastic hobby and I love seeing it grow. If you are a fan of strategy games and comics, you should be playing this game.

Street Fighter x Sanrio Gift Book & Sticker Book
Just in time for Xmas comes two books that combine the badassery of Street Fighter with the adorableness of Sanrio.
Street Fighter x Sanrio: World View features Sanrio playing the parts of Street Fighter characters sharing the wisdom they’ve learned from countless battles across the world. The Street Fighter x Sanrio Sticker Book contains a mix of colorful bumper stickers, paper dolls, and more.
Now they just need to make a Street Fighter x Sanrio game so I can play as a shoto-ized Badtz Maru and chuck fireballs at Hello Kitty’s mouthless little head.
Sanrio x Street Fighter Is Go
Sanrio have finally launched their line of Street Fighter shirts and accessories. There are plenty of characters to choose from in both men’s and women’s cuts. I’m having a tough time choosing between Blanka / Keroppi and Zangief / Purin. Also, enter “STREETFIGHTER” (minus the quotes) in the promotion code box at checkout to get a set of awesome pins.
Sanrio x Sega
Sega has teamed up with Sanrio and their first project is this awesome jumbo plush. It will be available at Sega’s Joyopolis - sort of a Japanese Dave & Buster’s. According to Andriasang.com, the Sanrio x Sega projects will go worldwide next summer.
Nooka Collaborates with Adventure Time and Hello Kitty
Nooka have just released these two awesome watches in their Sub 20 line. One of them is based on Hello Kitty and the other is based on Finn from Adventure Time. Zooka also released a Hello Kitty Mini NookaNooka, their vinyl toys / watch holder. The watches are $130 and the Hello Kitty toy is an extra $35, all from the Nooka store. What time is it?
A Little Bit On The Evangelion Kitty Side: With You Can (Not) Redo coming out this fall, Neon Genesis Evangelion will be teaming up with Sanrio to create various types of merchandise with Rei and Asuka Hello Kitties on them.
A Little Bit on the tokidoki Update Side: Today is a good day for tokidoki fans. The Porcino vinyl toy is now available for $13. Plus, they just announced a partnership with Sanrio and 7-Eleven in Hong Kong. 7-Eleven stores will sell eight tokidoki x Hello Kitty mini-figures / zipper pulls this month and next month, six more holiday-related figures, and seven color variants. Like I said, good day.
A Little Bit On The Hello Kitty Side: The December issue of Elle Taiwan features Hello Kitty as the cover model.
ONE PIECE x Hello Kitty
While not as “WTF!?” inducing as the announcement of Hello Kitty x Street Fighter, we certainly didn’t see this one coming. Sanrio and Toei have signed up to do crossovers on around 20 different licenses and create over 300 pieces of mash-up merch starting this November.
I feel like this is a sign of some biblical end-of-days shit on the horizon.
