Blindboxed.com Officially Launches
Today, A Little Bit on the Awesome Side, AKA Albotas.com, evolves and expands. While Albotas has been covering the designer toy scene since its inception and predates many of today’s popular designer toy blogs, our priorities have shifted based on our fans’ and readers’ feedback. As hardcore fans of the scene, we’re not willing to just drop that topic, so we’re spinning off the designer toy stuff into a new site, Blindboxed, where we can have a more dedicated and focused set of content for all the vinyl, resin, and plush fans out there.
What Can I Expect from Blindboxed?
We will be posting daily updates on industry news, upcoming releases, new reveals, and the latest work from our favorite artists and designers. As you might have seen, we’ve been filling up the site with pre-launch content already.
We’ll also be posting plenty of original content, such as artist interviews, DIY tips and tricks from established designers and customizing pros, event coverage, toy reviews, and more.
Finally, we’ll keep you on your toes with cool surprises. Keep an eye out for a special Blindboxed launch celebration sponsored by some of our awesome designer toy friends and artists.

Blindboxed.com is run and written by Robby “browkidd” Weiss and Marc DeAngelis.

tokidoki just dropped two new series of bindboxes today. The first is Unicorno Series 2, which has eleven new characters. These new designs are awesome, especially the Dia de los Muertos one.

The second is the Donutella and Her Sweet Friends series of mini plushies. There are eight characters than stand about four inches tall. Super cute!

Get a Unicorno Series 2 blindbox here for $8 or a Donutella blindbox here for $10.

blindboxed #18 - Lucky Cat Spiki

This week we’re taking a look at the white version of Lucky Cat Spiki from MaiHiro and KusoVinyl. Another winner in the Timmy The Toxic Slimeball giveaway is announced, and I answer a viewer’s question about blindboxed figures. Enjoy the episode!

P.S.
Don’t forget to ASK A QUESTION for a chance to have it read on a future episode!

(Subscribe to us on YouTube for more original content and the latest trailers!)

blindboxed #17: Robot VC3, Balloon Knots, and Dildos.

After a small hiatus, blindboxed is back!

This week we take a look at the Robot VC3 by Robot and Spark kindly provided by the rad folks over at DKE Toys, I answer some questions from a longtime Albotas fan, and give away a bit of freshness in the form of a Timmy The Toxic Slimeball figure from Patch Together.

Also, a pink vibrator in action!

Enjoy the show and, as always, we <3 comments!

blindboxed #16: Nathan Jurevicius 8” “Dievas” Dunny Review.

I’m back for yet another episode of blindboxed and this week I’m showing off the insanely sexy Dievas Dunny from Scarygirl creator Nathan Jurevicius for Kidrobot. I totally accidentally said JASON Jurevicius while taping, so that’s why there’s an awkward close-up of my mouth saying Nathan. It’s a pretty cool technique and I might start doing it in all episodes from now on.

The contest from last week is still going on, so send in those questions! A winner will be announced in next week’s episode.

Enjoy the show and, as always, comments are appreciated!

blindboxed #15: Timmy the Toxic Slimeball.

Whew, had some some weird issues getting this one uploaded, but it’s up now. Thanks to everyone who entered last week’s contest and congrats to the winner. There’s a new contest announcement in this week’s episode AND you get a taste of my sick freestyle singing/rapping skills around the 2:20 mark.

Thanks to PatchTogether for hooking this up!

If you’re interested in buying the toys reviewed in this week’s episode, you can get them in a set HERE or get one in the color of your choice HERE.

As always, comments are appreciated.

blindboxed #14.

Woo! The new episode of blindboxed is up. Watch me babble about some sweet Lemi The Space Wanderer Twins by Thunderpanda. There’s also a contest announcement, so yeah.

Please show your support and rate/comment/subscribe: youtube.com/albotasdotcom.

blindboxed #13: Bacon Mad*L Review.

Good news: blindboxed is back!

Bad news: This episode is terrible. Sorry.

A few things went wrong with this one, mainly Sony Vegas stopped running on my laptop, so I had to use a super outdated version of iMovie HD to edit this, so that’s why there’s no clever, colorfull 8-bit words popping up everywhere as per usual.

You may have noticed that the format is a bit different this time around. Instead of doing silly on-location spots with 2 reviews, the show is now just me doing one review. It’s just way easier to shoot and edit this way, which gives me time to update Albotas with fresh news.

I’m going to try and do these each week and maybe start doing giveaways again. Rate, subscribe, and comment. The comments are important because it lets me know what you guys want out of the show/what you hate/etc.

Oh, and ask me stuff! Use our Ask feature and I’ll try to answer any toy related questions on the next episode.

blindboxed episode #12

In this episode we take a look at some Vamplets Baby Vampyres, the Ridley Hooper 7” resin figure from Patch Together based on the Elsie Hooper webcomic, give a quick shout-out to our friends over at Vannen Watches, and announce a contest where you can win a set of Vamplets and a sick Vannen watch. Also, glitter.

Big thanks go out to Vamplets, Patch Together, and Vannen for providing all the stuff featured in this episode.
