‘Breaking Bad' Gets A Colombian Remake
Since a good chunk of Latin America never got to experience the awesomeness that is Breaking Bad, a Colombianized titled Metástasis (Cancer metastasizes. Get it?) versions will be hitting the airwaves soon. Colombianized versions of the characters were made as well, such as Walter and Celio Blanco (Walter and Skyler White), Henry Navarro (Hank Schrader), and Jose Rosas (Jesse Pinkman). Oh, and since RV’s aren’t popular in Columbia, all the meth gets cooked in a run-down old bus.
Sony Pictures Television has consulted with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and his team to make sure this new version sticks closely to the source material. Check out the six-minute preview below and see for yourself.
U.S. Breaking Bad fans looking to experience this new version can check out Metástasis when it debuts on Univision’s UniMas network.
