Yesterday morning was the premiere of the terrific KAWS BOBA FETT vinyl figure by Original Fake and Medicom Toy. Over 400 folks waited in line to get a piece of this dope vinyl figure. According to Toys R Evil, the figure was 18,900 yen, which converts to around $208. The pics above are from Angry Woebots, BE@RBRICK, and Naughty Guy.

It’s still freezing up here in New England, but this month’s plush ninja from Shawnimals is a reminder that summer is coming. It is coming, right? Should any coldfronts or bad dudes get in Summer Ninja’s way, he’ll set them straight with his popsicle-chucks. Get him for $30 from Shawnimals.
Kronk and Kidrobot will be releasing a set of four 4” lovebirds on April 26 for $20. The vinyl avians can sit by their lonesome or be paired with another feathered friend to form the shape of a heart. These are individually boxed and you can apparently pick what color you’d like to buy. I’m going for either the black or the blue. Because those are the colors of my heart.
Puppies are undeniably the best thing in the world. And vinyl toys aren’t far behind. That blue Android up there is called Schemer. It was given away at SXSW to several lucky bastards. Two more randomly chosen bastards who subscribe to the Dead Zebra newsletter will win a Schemer tonight. I can just see it twisting its mustache in my general direction, as if to say, “You’ll never have me.”
The one on the bottom is KaNo’s contribution to the third series of the Android Mini Collectibles. It’s based off the giant robot from the Beastie Boys’ Intergalactic video. I hear this one will be of a 1/16 rarity.
A Little Bit On The Glossy Side: These high-gloss Smorkin’ Labbits are what the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey would have looked like if they had Kozik on their team. They’re 10 inches each, come in red, white, or black, and cost $60 from Kidrobot. They’ll be available on January 12.

In a continuation of Kidrobot and Sanrio’s partnership, they’re releasing two more 6” vinyl figures. This first one is Junko Mizuno’s own interpretation of Hello Kitty friend Chococat. After a slight makeover, it’s now been renamed Junkocat and will be available January 13th. Those of you living around San Francisco can go get yours signed at Kidrobot SanFran on the 13th between 6-8PM
Also releasing on the same day is Amanda Visell’s version of another of Hello Kitty’s friends Badtz Maru, who looks fantastic in Visell’s signature style. Those of you in California will have to choose which signing to go to, as those silly guys over at Kidrobot decided to do both signings for them on the same day at the same time, so if you prefer Visell, you need to get yourself to Kidrobot LA around 6-8PM.
