Back in the day, Nintendo released a game dev kit specifically for consumers. Famicom owners could program their own games by slapping in a special cart and plugging in a humungous keyboard and tape deck (for saving the games). This above book cover might be the best thing to come of it though. Someone build me a Famicom space ship.

King of Games recently started releasing new t-shirts. Here’s their newest creation based on Wrecking Crew. It’s pretty cool, but is it $90 cool? That’s how much it costs after shipping from Japan to the US. Yikes. That’s like a wrecking ball right to the, uh, balls.
Ricepuppet aka Bleeding Violin customizes new and retro consoles that you can order on commission. While he has plenty of customs under his belt, this Zelda themed Super Famicom and Sonic themed Sega Genesis are by far my faves.
Super Famicom Cart Storage
I can’t find those dish drying racks and I’d rather not drill holes in my wall anyway. So this Super Famicom storage unit would be really cool to own. SFC carts are special pain in the ass because they can’t be stacked on top of one another. That means they’re hard to pack into a small space and it’s impossible to know which cart you’re going to pull out unless you’ve memorized which games are where.

Gold Famicom Disks Are High Class
I don’t usually like stuff that’s gold-colored, but these super-rare Famicom Disk System games look amazing. And they’ve probably got a price to match. Only an estimated 10,000 were made and a similar disk is going for $600 on eBay. They were sent out at random to some of the people who attended the Famicom Golf Tournament. I guess you didn’t even have to win to get an awesome prize. Sweet.
Store Your Cart Games with Style
I’ve been trying to figure out a better way to store my Super Famicom games. You can’t stack them because the front of the carts are rounded, but if I stand them up and store them sideways, it’s hard to see which game is which. Famicomblog found a way to hack some $1 sets of dish drying racks into hangable cart storage units. This would fix my problem and look really cool.
