In which we discuss what the eff just happened in the ninth episode of Season 3. Don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments.
Spoilers within. Obviously.
People all across the Tumblrverse have been mocking up their own MTG cards based on Game of Thrones characters and the results are pretty epic. Check out some more here and here.
Oooh! I have one!
Daenerys Targaryen 2RRWW
Whenever Daenerys Targaryen enters the battlefield or attacks, you may search your library for up to one Dragon and/or one Soldier creature and put them onto the battlefield. They have haste in addition to their other abilities and attack each turn if able.

Okay, if LEGO can cross over with Harry Potter and DC Comics, then Magic HAS to be able to cross over with Game of Thrones. Make this happen, people!

Less focus on the Starks? An earlier introduction to Daenerys who is played by a different actress? Why the hell hasn’t this pilot leaked online yet like that terrible American pilot for The IT Crowd?
This adequately sums up the Khaleesi’s plot from the majority of Game of Thrones season 2. It’s also my new ringtone.

James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” makes perfect sense mashed-up with the GoT theme. Give it a listen below.

Okay, Internet. Let’s talk. The Season 3 premiere wasn’t as intense and action-packed as the Season 2 finale, but it was adequately awesome nonetheless.
This episode definitely laid on a thicker coat of the fantasy stuff than any other episode. Right off the bat we got some direwolf vs. White Walker action, a friggin’ giant, Daenerys’s dragon catching, cooking, and eating its own fish in mid-air, and then there was that creepy weird assassin girl with the killer bug thing in that Pokéball or whatever.
Then we got some nice character moments like Tyrion dealing with his daddy issues, King “dick-in-a-box” Joffrey falling for his new queen bitch’s (possibly fake) matronly ways, and Robb Stark stops by Harrenhall which has been reduced to a heaping pile of corpses. Sorry bruh.
And so, this is the part where all of YOU GUYS chime in in the comments section of this post with your thoughts on the episode and predictions for where you think the show is headed. And if you’ve already read the books, NO SPOILERS!

Tired of the whack Season 3 trailers that showed absolutely nothing from the upcoming season? Then get a load of this:
Looks like Daenerys Targaryen finally gets her army. Oh, and her dragon’s are a bit more grown up now. Pretty excited to see all these great characters develop even further. Except Joffrey. He’s a dick and needs to get killed in the very first scene of the season.

With the release of the Second Season of Game of Thrones on Blu-ray/DVD on February 19h and the premiere of Season 3 coming March 31st, it is safe to say that Game of Thrones will soon re-enter the collective pop-culture consciousness. However, for many of us die-hard fans of George R.R. Martin’s fantastic book series, the series has probably never strayed from our consciousness.
As we eagerly anticipate what will undoubtedly be the most shocking and exciting season of Game of Thones yet, check out this portrait of Robb Stark by artist Craig Paton titled “The Young Wolf.”
Artist Craig Paton even went as far to post a video of a Daenerys Targaryen portrait speed paint. Amazing stuff from this artist.

Dark Horse is releasing this Tyrion Lannister statue based on that critical moment at the Battle of Blackwater right after he swipes someone’s knee off and right before he runs into trusty ol’ Ser Mandon. The 10-inch statue will run you $200 when it comes out in February but it will well worth the price. After all, a Lannister always pays his debts.
Fay Helfer whipped up this exquisitely classy Game of Thrones Risk set complete with an engraved wooden box, a wood-carved map of Westeros, and cloth pouches to hold the game pieces. The fact that the game pieces aren’t shown makes me think he just used the ones that come with an actual game of Risk, but I could be wrong. Even if I’m not, I wouldn’t knock the dude for it because this whole thing is just too absurdly awesome.
A Little Bit On The Horse Heart Side: With the Game of Thrones DVDs and Blu-Rays set to come out March 6, THR has a sneak peek of the behind the scenes content. We find out that the horse heart that Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen scarfed down for multiple takes was pretty much a giant gummy bear (gummy horse hearts make great Valentine’s gifts). There’s a word to describe someone like Clarke: keeper.
A Little Bit On The Game Of Thrones Season 2 Side: Oh, hey! If you dig cool things that are neat, check out this trailer for the second season of Game of Thrones. I totally got chills at the “a very small man can cast a very large shadow” part.
Big ups to Marty for sending this our way!
