Yes, Mega Man was on the Genesis
There’s been a Genesis-styled chiptune cover of some Mega Man music making the rounds on the Internet, which has been making people ask, “What if Mega Man was released on the Genesis?” Well, it was! Rockman: Mega World was released in late ‘94 for the Mega Drive in Japan and was released in ‘95 as Mega Man: The Wily Wars in Europe and Brazil.
The game was an upgraded compilation of the first three Mega Man games. It never received a physical release in the US, but was available on Sega Channel, the satellite service.
All versions of the game are collectible, going for at least $250. Don’t be fooled though. Any physical copy you see with Genesis branding is a reproduction and is worth about $40, not the three digit prices you’ll see on eBay.

![Sonic 20th Anniversary OST Has Cleared Act 1
It sounds like our spiky blue friend will be dropping the needle later this year when SEGA releases a compilation soundtrack to celebrate Sonic’s 20th anniversary. According to The Daily DL, the CD will feature the music from both Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as well as some rarities. It has only been announced for Japan, so hopefully Play-Asia and YesAsia.com will have plenty of FM synthesis to go around.

![Sonic’s chaos emeralds are bright, shiny
These chaos emerald replicas look pretty awesome. I was hoping there would be some info on how to make them, but the source says that they mostly came from eBay.
Note: Thanks to our reader, Ashley, who has pointed out that these are available at Michael’s and other arts&crafts stores!
