It’s one thing to have a pair of headphones with a built-in MP3 player, but when they can be turned into a speakers with the flick of a switch and have a battery life of 20 hours, then you’ve got our attention.

Sony has unveiled a new line of 3-in-1 Walkman headphones dubbed the WH series. Available in 16GB (model NWZ-WH505) and 4GB (model NWZ-WH303) flavors, both sets can pump out an hour of tunes on a three minute quick charge, 20 hours on a full charge, feature multiple sound modes, and can be turned into speakers that can crank out jams from the built-in MP3 player. And the best part: you can plug them into another device like your smartphone or tablet via headphone jack, so you’re not restrained to just the built-in dealy. Pretty sweet.
No word on price or release date, but you can check the full specs and info on Sony Eruope’s press site.

Bowers & Wilkins P3s Blue Themselves
It’s amazing how the right color scheme can make a design so much better. I never liked the look of Bowers & Wilkins’ P3 headphones until they recently released these blue versions. Now I’m resisting the urge to buy a pair.

Classy Retro Earbuds on the Cheap
Aiaiai and Teenage Engineering - two companies with great industrial design - teamed up to create the PX-0 earphones. At $80, they weren’t exactly cheap, but their awesome retro design was still tempting. Now they’re finally affordable. Grab a pair on sale for half off at Fab.

A Little Bit on the AIAIAI Side: Minimalist headphone makers, AIAIAI, are teasing these new studio monitors. Well-designed headphones that don’t sound shitty? Yes please.

A Little Bit on the Audio Side: Skull Candy have teamed up with some great companies in the past, like Paul Frank and tokidoki. Next up is Kidrobot. And Kidrobot being Kidrobot, there has to be an awesome limited Dunny bundle, right? The $299 headphones come with a chromed out 3” Dunny.

Minimalist and Retro Headphones from Denmark

Urbanears’ minimalist headphones look great, but they sound like ass. Check out these TMA-1 around-the-ear ‘phones from AIAIAI from Denmark. They supposedly sound much better than Urbanears’, but at the same time, they’re much more pricey - they go for a whopping $250. As classy as these are, I’d have to take a set of Shure SRH840s for that cost.

Also, check out their Tracks series of over-the-ear headphones that take a cue from the ones that came with the Sony Walkman back in the ’80s. These ones will set you back a modest $70.

Albotas X G-Shock.
Yeah right. If Albotas and G-Shock did do a collaboration, my head would probably explode and cover the entire internet in a sweet, chocolaty goo. This is actually the Skullcandy X G-Shock collaboration piece and it’s insanely sexy. It comes in a fancy hard case with a drawstring pouch and some blue Skullcandy earbuds inside. These are limited edition and can be yours for $169.95.
The Albotas colors have been electric blue and black for almost 4 years now. Kinda’ weird seeing them everywhere lately. Maybe I can try to score one to rock with my Albotas-themed attire.
