‘POKÉMON’ X ‘PERSONA’ NEEDS TO BE A THING
Earlier this week Nintendo announced that they’re working on a Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover game for WiiU. This got me thinking: could you imagine a Pokemon X Persona game? IMAGINE IT, DAMMIT!!!
They’re practically made for each other! They both involve collecting monsters and making them evolve as you use them to fight other monsters, monsters are weak and resistant to certain types of attacks, and both games have elements of youth angst. Make it happen, Nintendo and Atlus. Make it happen.
Real talk: I had to take a break from Persona 3 FES a few months back because my Vita charger broke, but now I’m back into it and slowly discovering that it’s one of the top 5 games I’ve ever played in my life. Mad addicting, for reals.
I’m at a point where I care less about saving the world from Shadows or whatever and more about making Yuko my gf. We totally held hands yesterday and I made her blush. Chick’s fuggin’ adorable.
Why can’t there be more handheld games that let you date cute anime schoolgirls. And why was it impossible to type that last sentence without feeling like a total creep? Don’t judge me!

Street Fighter x Sanrio Gift Book & Sticker Book

Just in time for Xmas comes two books that combine the badassery of Street Fighter with the adorableness of Sanrio.

Street Fighter x Sanrio: World View features Sanrio playing the parts of Street Fighter characters sharing the wisdom they’ve learned from countless battles across the world. The Street Fighter x Sanrio Sticker Book contains a mix of colorful bumper stickers, paper dolls, and more.

Now they just need to make a Street Fighter x Sanrio game so I can play as a shoto-ized Badtz Maru and chuck fireballs at Hello Kitty’s mouthless little head.

From the Creators of Takochu Comes Butachu
I went on a Takochu binge about this time last year. Now I’m on a Butachu binge. These little acrylic piggies are lining my desktop. They’re from the same company that made Takochu so they look similar and are awesome side-by-side. Hopefully they keep coming out with new animals each year. What should be next? Kiwis? Capybaras?

Picotto Knights - This Vita Game Needs To Come To The U.S. RIGHT NOW
Piccoto Knights is a beat-‘em-up action RPG for the Vita from Game Arts and NHN Hangame. You start off by making a custom character dude, then upgrading them with weapons and shizz. Since the game’s free-to-play, you can also spend real-world dollars on in-game items if you’re into that sort of thing.
The game’s set to release in Japan on September 20th, but no plans for a western release have been mentioned.
Check out the trailer for Picotto Knights below.

Siliconera reports:

GungHo and NHN haven’t announced if they will bring Picotto Knights to North America or Europe, but it looks like they’re planning to. GungHo filed a trademark for Picotto Knights in the US trademark database. Perhaps, an announcement will be made at Tokyo Game Show since the game will launch during the event?

We can only hope.

Cloudy: A FriendsWithYou Short

After working for over 12 hours straight, this is exactly what I needed. Friends with You have a lot more going on, too. This month they unveiled a new mascot, Yaya, for the Young At Art Museum and they kicked off their first-ever Hong Kong exhibit. Plus their web store is down. Hopefully that means new merch is coming soon.

A Little Bit on the Umbrella Side: There aren’t many things you can do to make an umbrella fun. But that didn’t stop a Japanese company from creating umbrellas with monkey and flying squirrel silhouettes on them. The tails of the animals flap around in the wind as if the wee critters are handing on for dear life. Depending on where you live, you might be able to buy one here.

A Little Bit On The Skitty Side: Custom 8.5” Nookanooka by Tony Nakanari for an upcoming exhibit in Japan.

Skitty may look like Hello Kitty but don’t let her looks fool you. You will be her victim if you think she’s cute and innocent. She’s sexy and evil. She knows the meaning of party.
Don’t be expecting Skitty to be a homemaker. She wants her own independence.

100% acrylic paint + brush. No taping. No BS. Nakanari Style.

A Little Bit On The OMG CUTEST TOTORO COSPLAY EVER!!! Side: Cherie made this adorable Totoro costume for her daughter Yuki and I can’t get over the insane amount of cuteness right now. I showed this to my fiancee and she seriously suggested adopting an Asian baby for the sole sake of dressing it up in cute cosplay. Then I told her she was racist and called the wedding off. Just kidding, we’re totally banging as I’m typing thissl;ks;s;lgl;ss. 8==D~*
