Earlier this week Nintendo announced that they’re working on a Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover game for WiiU. This got me thinking: could you imagine a Pokemon X Persona game? IMAGINE IT, DAMMIT!!!
They’re practically made for each other! They both involve collecting monsters and making them evolve as you use them to fight other monsters, monsters are weak and resistant to certain types of attacks, and both games have elements of youth angst. Make it happen, Nintendo and Atlus. Make it happen.
Real talk: I had to take a break from Persona 3 FES a few months back because my Vita charger broke, but now I’m back into it and slowly discovering that it’s one of the top 5 games I’ve ever played in my life. Mad addicting, for reals.
I’m at a point where I care less about saving the world from Shadows or whatever and more about making Yuko my gf. We totally held hands yesterday and I made her blush. Chick’s fuggin’ adorable.
Why can’t there be more handheld games that let you date cute anime schoolgirls. And why was it impossible to type that last sentence without feeling like a total creep? Don’t judge me!

I went on a Takochu binge about this time last year. Now I’m on a Butachu binge. These little acrylic piggies are lining my desktop. They’re from the same company that made Takochu so they look similar and are awesome side-by-side. Hopefully they keep coming out with new animals each year. What should be next? Kiwis? Capybaras?
I need this to live. No. I need eight of them. But I’d totally settle for one. You can actually find these things on Ebay for around $300. Totally worth it.

They’ll also be at New York Comic Con next month where they’ll be selling these Katamari t-shirts.

Piccoto Knights is a beat-‘em-up action RPG for the Vita from Game Arts and NHN Hangame. You start off by making a custom character dude, then upgrading them with weapons and shizz. Since the game’s free-to-play, you can also spend real-world dollars on in-game items if you’re into that sort of thing.
The game’s set to release in Japan on September 20th, but no plans for a western release have been mentioned.

GungHo and NHN haven’t announced if they will bring Picotto Knights to North America or Europe, but it looks like they’re planning to. GungHo filed a trademark for Picotto Knights in the US trademark database. Perhaps, an announcement will be made at Tokyo Game Show since the game will launch during the event?
We can only hope.
