D-Arts’ Mega Man Ultimate Armor figure

D-Arts has some of the coolest toys ever created, and this one really showcases that to the fullest extent. Capcom revealed that this Mega Man X figure, equipped with ultimate armor, will come with swappable hands/mega buster, terrific articulation D-Arts is known for creating, and full fucking detail. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal how much this is going to cost and if it’s going to be sold outside of Japan.

Yes, Mega Man was on the Genesis
There’s been a Genesis-styled chiptune cover of some Mega Man music making the rounds on the Internet, which has been making people ask, “What if Mega Man was released on the Genesis?” Well, it was! Rockman: Mega World was released in late ‘94 for the Mega Drive in Japan and was released in ‘95 as Mega Man: The Wily Wars in Europe and Brazil.
The game was an upgraded compilation of the first three Mega Man games. It never received a physical release in the US, but was available on Sega Channel, the satellite service.
All versions of the game are collectible, going for at least $250. Don’t be fooled though. Any physical copy you see with Genesis branding is a reproduction and is worth about $40, not the three digit prices you’ll see on eBay.

If Classic Star Wars Battles Were Mega Man Boss Levels

This is the clever handywork of Ty Lettau and every ounce of my being wishes that this was a real game.

Street Fighter X Mega Man

In the year of 2012, a super robot named Megaman was celebrating his 25th birthday with no robot masters to defeat. There was much outcry. But thanks to the continued support from fans, Megaman will face a set of new challengers…

Street Fighter X Mega Man will be available as a free PC download at capcom-unity/mega_man on December 17, 2012 - Mega Man’s official 25th b-day!

This almost, kind of, sort of makes up for Capcom cancelling Mega Man Legends 3DS and Mega Man Universe. Almost, kind of, sort of.

Mega Man Hoodie With Hidden Built-In Mega Buster

Capcom teamed up with fashion label Punk Drunkers to make some limited edition Rockman apparel including the ballin’-ass hoodie pictured above. The sleeve turns into a Mega Buster, fools!!! And that black one is all kinds of hot. 14,700 yen ($189 US) is pretty steep though.

The t-shirts will set you back 5,250 yen ($67 US).

Kind of glad I don’t have that kind of money to throw around right now because I’d probably wear the hoodie everywhere and “pew-pew” complete strangers in public. Who wouldn’t though, am I right?

Munny Monday Strikes Back!!!

Oldschool readers might remember our popular Munny Monday feature where we’d feature a new custom Kidrobot Munny figure each week and interview the artist who created it. It was awesome, but a bit time consuming and it was always tough relying on artists to get back to us with their interview answers.

With the ever-growing demand for us to feature more designer toy stuff on the site, Munny Monday has been reborn into a more bite-sized, easily digestible format that should be pleasing to your eyeballs and brain nodes. Each week we’ll be focusing on a different theme - this week’s theme: geeky stuff in general. Movies, games, comics, whatevs. Enjoy and let us know what you think in the comments!

New Mega Man X Tee and Bitboi Sticker Packs from Bitmap’d.

Our friends over at Bitmap’d just released their latest tee, “Reploid X”, and two fresh new sticker packs featuring their Bitboi mascot dressed up as classic characters from games that their t-shirts are inspired by. While each sticker is awesome, Ash Ketchum one is clearly the awesomest.

This Week’s Episode Of Community Goes 8-Bit.

Here’s a clip from tomorrow’s episode, “Digital Estate Planning” which is totally vibing off the Mega Man games. We’re completely fine with this.

Dear NBC, please hire a team of rad developers to turn this into a real game for Xbox LIVE, PSN, and Nintendo’s eShop. Thank you.

Shout-out to Melissa for sending this in!
