New Hyrule Historia Cover Is Pure Class
Hey, listen! The book detailing the history of The Legend of Zelda just got a new and improved cover. I was able to flip through the Japanese version, and while I wasn’t super impressed, I’ll definitely be picking up the English version. The book more heavily covered the recent games and only had a few pages dedicated to the pre-N64 titles. I’d love to play a magic ocarina to travel back to 1985 and ‘86 while the original game was being developed, but since that’s probably not going to happen, I’ll settle for the few pages of insight this book provides.

The N64 Mini

Modder Slipstream (a.k.a. Smakedsam) built a shrink ray then used it on an old Nintendo 64 he had lying around. Just kidding. He’s actually just really smart and good with tools and stuff. And look at that sexy metallic orange gloss! It’s like an oiled-up booty in a rap video!

Here’s a video if you want to get up close and personal.

The Human Centipede Of N64 Controllers
UK modder Clarky mutated two N64 controllers together so that his friend could play Star Wars: Episode One Racer. See, there’s a code you can put into the game that lets you control both Pod Racer engines using analog sticks from two controllers. If old-ass Star Wars games aren’t your thing, then you’ll be happy to know that, yes, this controller also works with Goldeneye.

These Gaming Bongs Give New Meaning To The Phrase “High Score”

Gamers. We’re an ingenuitive bunch. We figure out ways to replicate insanely detailed costumes of our favorite video game characters, we shrink old video game systems down to portable handheld sizes, and we even spruce up oldschool consoles with newschool artistic flare.

When you combine the gamer mentality with that of stoners, who have the uncanny ability to turn just about any object on the planet into a smoking apparatus, well, things start to get a little more interesting.

Hit the jump for a look at some of the greatest hybrids of gaming and stoner culture ranging from Pokémon bongs, NES Zappers, and even full on consoles that you can smoke out of. This is what happens when console modders become potheads.

Happy 4/20, everybody!
