NINTENDO TEASES “BIG NEWS” FOR POKEMON FANS
The official Pokemon Twitter recently teased an announcement coming on January 8th. I kind of hope it’s a new Pokemon game for either the Wii or Wii U that will let me and my friends battle our Generation V dudes on the big screen with fancy graphics.
What do you think it could be?

Wooden Pikachu Toy
I saw this neat-o print on FFFFOUND. But what really caught my eye was the super cute wooden Pikachu toy in the corner. I can’t find out anything about it through Google, so I’ll just have to stare at it longingly. If you like the print (A4 size), you can get it here for $30.

Handpainted Monster & Adventure Time Plates By Anna Johnstone

Anna Johnstone is an artist I’d never heard of before, but I cam across her stuff on Behance and it kind of blew me away. Just check out these plates! Her work reminds me of a cross between McBess and Amanda Visell.

And if you’re not sold on this chick’s radically artistic ways, check out this adorably gnarly hipster Pikachu!

Yup. Definitely the shiznit.

Munny Monday Strikes Back!!!

Oldschool readers might remember our popular Munny Monday feature where we’d feature a new custom Kidrobot Munny figure each week and interview the artist who created it. It was awesome, but a bit time consuming and it was always tough relying on artists to get back to us with their interview answers.

With the ever-growing demand for us to feature more designer toy stuff on the site, Munny Monday has been reborn into a more bite-sized, easily digestible format that should be pleasing to your eyeballs and brain nodes. Each week we’ll be focusing on a different theme - this week’s theme: geeky stuff in general. Movies, games, comics, whatevs. Enjoy and let us know what you think in the comments!

  1. Avengers Munnys by spilledpaint88
  2. Deadpool Munny by deadpigs
  3. Mega Man Munny by Teagle
  4. Diablo III Monk by nedashi
  5. Pikachu speakers by boot-cheese-3000
  6. Genie by Joshua D Mason

A Little Bit On The Pokemon Card Cosplay Side: Reader Don Schwabs sent in this pic of him rocking some truly awesome Pokemon cosplay.

For last year’s work Xmas party, we were told to come dressed as one of the products we sell. Amongst the Jason Voorhees’, Beetlejuices and Bioshock’s Little Sister, I decided to take things a little more literally.
Fast forward 4 months to Melbourne’s Supanova Pop Cultcha Expo, I decided to rock the ‘chu again and bring him to the masses. Got a pretty damn good result as I couldn’t take more than 5 steps before being asked for a photo and a fair bit of people freaking out in general (jeans were creamed).
I now plan on adding the corners of some energy cards that I can fan out the side for some Thunder Jolt-y goodness.

As a 28-year-old dude who is thoroughly addicted to the Pokemon trading card game, I give this cosplay the official Albotas seal of approval. Thanks, Don!

A Little Bit On The Electric Side: This sweet new Pokemon themed “Volt Attack” t-shirt from Bitmap’d comes with an equally sweet — albeit misspelled — iron-on patch (while supplies last) and would look pretty fresh with those lightning bolt montage x KANEKO OPTICAL  glasses we posted yesterday.

Get it here for $18.95 USD.
