Custom vinyl toy artist Albert Art turned one of Toy2R’s 8-inch Cat Qees into a stogey-smoking Mario rocking his raccoon suit. No actual raccoons or tanookis were harmed in the making of this custom.

Rotobox have just released two new killer customs. The first is a Celsius version of Spider-Man 2099 which has an awesome metallic blue paint job and fierce arm stabbies. The second is another Qee version of Voltron. At first glance it’s pretty similar to Rotobox’s previous take on Voltron, but check it out and you’ll see some great new details, especially the logo on his lion belly.

Rotobox continue their stunning customization work with this tribute to Combattler Godaikin toy. True to the original, this Qee version combines five pieces to form the full robot. It’s a one-off and has already been sold, but you can still drool at all the photos here.
Albotip: The “V” in “Combattler V” is pronounced like the letter (as opposed to “five”) and stands for “Victory.”

German designer Hannes Hummel tricked out this Qee figure using the guts from a Game Boy Advance with a chip soldered on that features full motion video playback, a web & file browser, and various game console emulators which are controlled with an NES gamepad. He calls his creation Super Gigan and I really freaking want one.

For decades now I’m reading Bill Watterson’s CALVIN & HOBBES and ofcourse I had to come up with a Comic Stripped version for my favorite comicstrip.
I decided to cover a 16” Qee with black and white copies on white and orange paper - so no original comicbook was harmed!I added loose brushstrokes to adapt the style of Watterson - I know I will never pay justice to the great Watterson but I tried to capture this style anyway.Didn’t decide yet if this piece is for sale - but offers start at € 650,- including shipping. Daily Geekstomization: This Bowser Bunny Qee was originally made by Megan Smithyman (a.k.a. MeSmithy) for our Heroes & Villains Custom Toy Extravaganza which took place last weekend, but she never got the chance to finish it in time. Ah, well… better late than never! And holy smokes this thing is freaking awesome! The detail is insane and we’re especially digging the patchwork vibe. Well done, Megan!

The dudes at Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica have truly outdone themselves this time. They’ve taken four 8” Qee figures and a Jumbo Qee and turned them into an actual Voltron figure that can be combined and disassembled. Crazysauce, I tell you!

Daily Geekstomization: 8” Game Boy Color Qee Mods by Romany WG.
These were made way back in 2006. They blew my mind then, and they blow my mind now. Very Daft Punk-ish. The only bummer is that they don’t actually function as GBC’s, but that didn’t stop the artist from selling them each for $300.

Gameboy Qee was an idea from my 12 year old son. It’s amazing, if you google ‘Gameboy qee’ how many results come up. Seems to been discussed all over the world and especially Japan. Most people were surprised and confused as to why it wouldn’t work.
