Here’s a New Trailer for ‘Only God Forgives’
Gorgeous cinematography, heaps of violence, and groovy retrolicious synth tunes. Oh, and Ryan Gosling. Yeah, this should be good.
Here’s the first trailer for those who missed it.

Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling team up for another stylishly minimalistic, brutally violent film that people will either love or hate. Basically, Drive, but in Thailand and with less driving.
If this movie came out in the early 2000’s, I could see the line “Wanna’ fight?” leading into a million breakdowns on metalcore albums. You know, back when movie clips before every breakdown was the thing to do.

Here’s the trailer for A Place Beyond The Pines starring Ryan Gossling as slightly more chaotically desperate version of his character in Drive, Bradley Cooper, and Eva Mendes somehow looking 10 years younger. It also has that chick who sang the song about her asshole in Get Him To The Greek and how many freaking times has Ray Liotta played a cop in his career? Seriously, I’m pretty sure Bee Movie was probably the only time he played someone who wasn’t a cop.
I know it’s only two days into 2013, but “if you ride like lightning, you’re gonna’ crash like thunder” is up in the running for most memorable quote of the year from a movie trailer.
A Little Bit On The Criterion Side: Fake Criterion covers for Noclas Winding Refn’s Drive by midnight marauder. This movie was amazing and it depresses me that none of my friends liked it.
A Little Bit On The Operation Side: Mick Minogue modded an Operation board game with Ryan Gosling’s character from Drive for the “For the Love of Progress” art show in Dublin, Ireland. Just like in the film, you have a five minute window to get the job done.
