Boosted Boards - The Lightest Electric Longboards Ever

I’m 28 years old. My leg-bones can’t handle landing skate tricks like they used to, but every now and then I get the urge to skate to work. I’ve been debating scooping a decent longboard and I think the fine peeps over at Boosted Boards have just what I’m looking for. Their electric longboards are just 12lbs., making them world’s lightest electric vehicles, they get about 6 miles out of a single charge, and they can hit speeds of up to 20MPH. The only downside is they’re a bit pricey. $1200 is no joke.

Video: Two Dudes, One Skateboard
Watch Kilian Martin and Alfredo Urbon tear it up together on a custom board built for two. Okay, so it’s really an Smart Car ad, but it’s still awesome, so watch!

And while you’re at it, check out the making-of spot.

Globe Bantam Cruiser - Clear Versions Coming This Month

It’s pretty much a well-known fact that Globe’s Bantam Cruiser boards are the proverbial shiznit. Although summer’s almost over, there’s still time to cruise your streets during the fall before snow starts to drop. These all new clear versions of the popular boards are by far their sickest yet — expecially that Albotas blue one!

Pre-order on in clear, green, orange, blue, red, or black for $109.95.

Custom Scott Pilgrim Skateboard Deck

This mythril custom Scott Pilgrim skateboard was made by LeMathMath based on the 3D sculpt concept pictured below. I’d totally do a grindy thingy with one of these.

Check out more of the 3D mockup phase here and peep more pics of the actual deck customizing process here.

A Little Bit On The SK8 Upton Side: An entire Tumblr site dedicated to skateboard decks with Kate Upton on them. This is by Jeff Gaudinet, the same dude who brought us Skate Moss. While they’re just concepts and not decks you can actually ride on, the GIF ones below are pretty legit.

A Little Bit On The Kate Upton + Skateboarding + Cockroaches Side: This is a hilariously raunchy ad spot for Zoo York featuring the ultra-fine Kate Upton with two roaches voiced by pro skaters Giovanni Reda and Felix Arguelles.

Kind of blows my mind that Kate Upton’s only 19.

Speaking of things that need to get waxed, brb…

A Little Bit On The Skateboarding Side: This is footage from this past October’s “Leeside Halloween Jam” at the Leeside Skatepark in Vancouver, BC. It’s pretty much just a bunch of grown men in silly costumes shredding the gnar and crashing into each other in an abandoned graffiti-covered transit tunnel as assorted fireworks go off.

God, I wish I could have been there, but my bone density isn’t what it used to be and my night probably would have ended with a trip to the E.R.
