HUEY, DEWEY, AND LOUIE ROCK ICONIC STREETWEAR

Check out the duck triplets rocking Supreme, Nike, MORTE, and Givenchi. At first glance I thought these 3D illustrations by Simeon Georgiev were some sort of limited edition figure release, but sadly they’re not. Just 3D illustrations. Like with a computer. Like they’ll never be on my shelf. Sad as it is, they’re still hecka’ awesome.

CUSTOM CAPTAIN AMERICA AIR JORDANS BY SEKURE D

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4 and shoe & toy customizer extraordinaire Sekure D (check out our video interview with him here) went all out on a pair of Jordan 6’s and embellished them with all the iconic details of the O.G. Captain America suit. At first glance I though these were a legit licensing crossover which is a true testament to the artist’s skills and super clean lines.

Sidenote: Anyone catching the early premiere of Winter Soldier going on in select cities tomorrow?

Custom Freddy Krueger Jordans

These hand painted Air Jordan 3's by GB Customs perfectly capture the iconic look of Freddy Krueger from his his trademark striped sweater to the bloody flesh and hints of silver to represent his claws. Reebok actually had a few Freddy kicks back in the day, but they definitely weren’t as nice as these.

The Mystery Of Flying Kicks

Ever see a pair of shoes hanging from a power line and wonder why they’re there? This 14-minute documentary by Matt Bate uses crowd-sourced YouTube footage, photographs, and audio recordings to try and unravel the mystery.

Via ABC:

“That’s why the film looks the way it does. We’d get the audio and then we’d work out how to tell the story. ‘Do we animate it? Do we go on YouTube and try to find footage?’” Bate says. “I would also do a lot of research and find people that maybe lived in a particular neighborhood. Like we had a story about Harlem, and I thought, well how are we going to get to Harlem? “

“So I found this guy on YouTube who films gangs on the streets and just kind of films them waving their 45s at the camera,” he continues. “I wrote to him and asked if he could talk to locals on the street. And I paid him about $200 to just go out and walk around the streets of Harlem – somewhere I would never be able to go – and he went out there and did interviews.”

Chuck Taylor All Star “Fruits” Collection

Classic CONVERSE hi-tops in three new flavors: green apple, pineapple, and cherry. Kind of disappointed in the lack of banana and strawberry, but I’ll manage. Oh, these are printed on polyester as opposed to the usual canvas. Available now at select CONVERSE retailers for around $75.
