Daily Graffiti: Ren & Stimpy Edition

Captain Höek and Cadet Stimpy in street art form from the episode “Space Madness” which always creeped me out as a kid. The whole thing about eating soap always made me queasy.

Entire “Space Madness” episode embedded below for great justice.

The Greatest Photoshoot For A Sock Line You’ll See All Day

While we primarily share our love of geeky stuff here on Albotas, we’re also fans of stylish threads and pretty girls. This latest photoshoot by Danny Steezy for Benny Gold featuring the lovely Shay Maria perfectly encapsulates our fond appreciation for menswear and the female anatomy.

Fresh Kicks by Booji and JB Lab for Scion’s ‘A Product of Design’ Gallery Event

I’m not normally a fan of purple sneakers, but I’m digging these hard. The red ones too.

Showcasing designers whose passion projects have taken shape in an array of products, this exhibition spotlights the blurred line between collectibility and function. A Product of Design celebrates a cross-section of companies and individuals whose work is graphic and inspiring.

Opening Night: Saturday, September 17, 2011, 7-10pm
Show dates: September 17 – October 8, 2011
RSVP For Opening Reception at www.scion.com/space

More Info On Those Back To The Future Nikes
NiceKicks.com is reporting that only 1500 pairs of the Nike Air Mags made famous in Back to the Future II will be released to the public starting tonight at 8:30 PST. They light up just like in the movie and are even rechargable with a battery that last 5 hours! But there’s a catch: 150 pairs will be up for auction on eBay (nikemag.eBay.com) every day for 10 days. Whaaat!? You can’t camp outside of eBay!!!
But all this is for a good cause. All the net proceeds will go to the Michael J. Fox foundation. Not only that, but a grant was given to the foundation by Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki that will match all donations up to 50 million dollars.
Michael J. Fox, the original Marty McFly himself says, “This project is exciting to me because it brings together three very passionate audiences: the Parkinson’s community, the sneakerheads and Back to the Future fans.”
Michael J. Fox will appear on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight at 11:30pm PST to make a special announcement.
Sooo… how much do you guys think these things will go for?

Freaking Awesome Pokémon Halloween Swag
I need it all! Too bad you can only get it in Japan. For now… Hopefully Nintendo and the Pokémon Company bring these to the States so I don’t have to resort to eBay.
Here’s a better look at the illustration on that bag.

Nike Air Mags from ‘Back to the Future’ Finally Coming True?

For anyone who grew up on 80’s movies and loves Back to the Future, this video of a small warehouse-sized closet full of the high-tech Nike Air Mags is the best kind of tease. But the real question remains: do they lace themselves?

Sweet Baby Jesus These Space Invaders iPhone and iPad Cases Are Gorgeous

Too much swag, I can’t handle it! These Space Invaders cases are available from Case Scenario and they’ll have your iPod Touch, iPhone 4, and iPad 2 looking fresh-to-death with a vengeance. They even have have MacBook Pro cases which I might pick up for myself in the unlikely event I ever have enough money for a MacBook Pro.

Oldskool Hip-Hop Stormtrooper Cosplay
This is THE greatest Stormtrooper cosplay of all time. Unless you’re a chick with a bangin’ body and killer rack, there’s really no point trying to top this dude.

This Totoro hoodie is the business! This was made by DeviantART user SnowLikeHair. She should probably start selling these so I can rock one.

The Pokémon Theme Is now A Fresh Hip-Hop Beat.

This has been around for awhile, but we missed it. Why aren’t you telling us these things, dicks!? Luckily, our Twitter pal nth_degree has our backs in our never ending quest to deliver the freshness straight to your nerdybone.

The song’s called "Charizard" by A-1 off his After School Special mixtape which has a junkload of samples from all the shit you used to watch as a kid like Power Rangers and All That. Download it here. You can also download an instrumental version HERE.

So, basically, Brisk swagged me the eff out.

Here’s a quick video tour of my lil’ room at Ace Hotel in NY along with a peek at my Brisk swag bag which includes a special Brisk edition of the Green Lantern comic, a copy of Machete on DVD signed by Danny Trejo, oh yeah… and a freaking iPad!

Today’s a busy day with me booked for different shindiggery with guest speakers such as the one and only Tristan Eaton and I’m hoping to get some one-on-one video interview time with Danny Trejo later. Tweet me questions you’d like me to ask him just in case!

Follow me @brownkidd on Twitter and keep checking Albotas for updates throughout the day. Expect lots of claymation, fresh art, and general awesomeness!
