ESC-Toy Launching Last of Us Line
Having previously collaborated with Naughty Dog on the Nathan Drake vinyl figure, ESC-Toy and Erick Scarecrow will be producing collectibles based on the developers enormous hit, The Last of Us. Joel and Ellie are sure to show up, but who else will be featured in this line? Infected? Bill?! I really hope there’s a Bill figure, complete with a Bears Magazine accessory.
S.H.Figuarts Yellow Ranger Coming in June
The final entry into S.H.Figuarts’ Power Rangers / Zyuranger series will launch this June. Oddly enough, the above image is of the Japanese figure and it has boobies. The Japanese Yellow Ranger (the Tiger Ranger) was a dude, unlike in the westernized version.

Mega Man x Kidrobot Mini Figure Series
Kidrobot will be following up their successful Street Fighter line with a Mega Man series. No photos have been revealed yet, but my wild guess is that most of the toys will be a standard Mega Man sculpt with different colorways representing the different power-ups, like the palette swaps in the games.
This is pretty cool since the Munny platform already lends itself well to Mega Man’s design. I think for a lot of kids who grew up in the ’80s and then found out about customizing Munnys, their first idea was to do a Mega Man piece.

Limited to 300 pieces, Martin Hsu’s Miya-San resin figure will be up for pre-order starting tomorrow and ending 1/31/14. The newly retired Miyazaki directed the majority of Studio Ghibli’s films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Castle in the Sky. Pre-orders start a 2PM here.
S.H. Figuarts Blue Ranger Out in May
So far, the awesome Power Rangers / Super Sentai Zyuranger series from Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts has released the Red, Green, White, and Pink Rangers, with the Black one up for pre-order and shipping in April. But Bandai recently announced that the Blue Ranger will be out in May, along with his combining sais. This just leaves the Yellow Ranger figure to be announced.
Albotip: David Yost, who played the Blue Ranger, admitted to leaving the show due to crew members’ harassing him about his homosexuality. Lame.
3A, known for their super-detailed, high end figures, will be releasing their Metal Gear Ray figure for pre-order on December 24 for $490. Metal Gear RAY made its debut in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. According to MGS lore, these remote controlled Gears were designed to hunt down and destroy copies of Metal Gear REX after its plans leaked and engineers around the world built their own.
With officially licensed Uncharted figures under his belt and homages to PlayStation, Atari 2600, and Super Mario, it’s no secret that Erick Scarecrow is a big fan of gaming. His latest figure is based on the most misunderstood controller of all time, the N64. Erick flips the controller upside down to create a clever, skeletal face. We’ll be sure to post official photos once they surface.

Today in inappropriate figures, it looks like Bayonetta is being recast in resin as she will soon reprise her role in a Wii U sequel. These photos were tweeted ahead of Joint Festival (not what it sounds like) which takes place at Tokyo Big Sight on November 22. We’ll probably have more info then.
If you can’t wait, or want something articulated, you can pick up the Bayonetta Play Arts Kai Figure.
Toy Boarders Releases ‘Surf Series’
The bagged-toy line, Toy Boarders, has released their ‘Surf Series,’ of green surfers recently. Rad stuff. The figures come in 8 different poses and each pack goes for $6, full of 24 mini-figures. They’re a new take on the old plastic army men toys, also available in skateboard and snowboard series.
Star Wars Mashup Figures by Michael Leavitt
These awesome figures were created by artist Michael Leavitt, who was also responsible for the Banksy toy line from a while back. This Star Wars line mashes up Star Wars characters with important figures in history and pop culture. We’ve got Darwin, Gandhi, King Jong Il, Obama, and plenty of others.
