Yesterday morning was the premiere of the terrific KAWS BOBA FETT vinyl figure by Original Fake and Medicom Toy. Over 400 folks waited in line to get a piece of this dope vinyl figure. According to Toys R Evil, the figure was 18,900 yen, which converts to around $208. The pics above are from Angry Woebots, BE@RBRICK, and Naughty Guy.

tokidoki have just released a new set of blindboxes and a new window boxed vinyl toy. The blindbox series is the long awaited Royal Pride, featuring organized crime kittens. There are 100 “gold bucks” hidden in the first shipment, which can be cashed in for a super limited gold painted figure. The vinyl toy is Rudy, a four-legged member of the Punkstar family.
I think I’ll pass on Rudy, but I do want to pick up Lion Papa from the Royal Pride line because he reminds me of Bernie Mac, as well as Hercolino.

Check out this porcelain figure by Sergey Safonov. It’s like a lawn gnome who ate too many squirrels. It’s sold out for now, but when it’s in stock (here), it’s only $25.

Kronk and Kidrobot will be releasing a set of four 4” lovebirds on April 26 for $20. The vinyl avians can sit by their lonesome or be paired with another feathered friend to form the shape of a heart. These are individually boxed and you can apparently pick what color you’d like to buy. I’m going for either the black or the blue. Because those are the colors of my heart.
Puppies are undeniably the best thing in the world. And vinyl toys aren’t far behind. So when you put puppies into a boiling pot of molten vinyl, the results can only be amazing. 64 Colors, Squibbles Ink, and Rotofugi combined their powers to form a rainbow of super cute puppies and we’ve got some for you to stare at. A Little Bit on the Kawaiju Side: These kaiju figures are so kawaii that I’m resisting the urge to buy them both. They’re made by Chima Group in Japan. Ademas, the Godzilla type dude, is $26 and Wool, the dinosaur guy, is $30 at myplasticheart. Some versions are sold out, but hopefully they’ll restock.
It’s true. If you want to pick up some of 64 Colors’ new Gumdrop toys, you get to pick any color / face you want. They come in transparent baggies rather than blindboxes. Rotofugi still has all 12 figures in stock, so go buy as many puppies as you want.
You gotta get down on Friday if you want these super cute Gumdrop figures designed by 64 Colors and produced by Squibbles Ink and Rotofugi. There are six color variants and two faces for a total of 12 unique toys. They’ll be available for $5.95 at 10AM Central at Rotofugi. The official page says “Your choice of color and design.” I don’t know if that means these aren’t blindboxed or if you can choose which ones you want via Rotofugi’s web store. I’ll let you know Friday I guess!
A Little Bit on the Kid NES Side: Kid NES and Ederton Onerski recently enhanced a wall with a Super Mario Bros. themed paint job. The enormous 8-bit piece is meant to promote Vinyl Thoughts 2, a show in Dallas on March 15.

A Little Bit on the Pride Side: According to Vinyl Pulse, tokidoki will be releasing the full set of Royal Pride figures this May for just under $8 each. There will be ten kitties, two pups, and two chases. My money says one of the chases is a dog holding a ring in its mouth.
A Little Bit on the Truffle Side: Check out tokidoki’s most recent toy, Truffle. The Cactus Friends bunny is available now from the official tokidoki site. It’s about the same size as most other Cactus Friends animals. In other words, it’s not as big as a Sandy figure, but it’s still awesome, especially for under $10.
A Little Bit On The Chiptune Vinyl Side: Retro City Rampage is getting a limited edition of 500 12” vinyls containing 24 tracks from the game. Pre-order for a chance at snagging one of 100 blue or green copies. Each copy also includes a poster of the cover album art by Maxime Trépanier, card-stock CD case, and a digital copy - you know, since we live in the future and all.
For the uninitiated, Retro City Rampage is an upcoming parody/homage to oldschool gaming headed to WiiWare, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and the PlayStation Network this May. If you’re not psyched, you’re obviously not awesome.
A Little Bit on the MAD Side: The 4-foot Dunny: an elusive beast. Few have had the courage to paint the behemoth bunny, but you can watch MAD paint one at Foxwoods Casino this Friday and Saturday if you live anywhere near Connecticut. MAD will also be signing and taking pictures. Bring some cash though because he can only sign stuff you buy at his merch table.
A Little Bit on the Android Series 03 Side: According to Vinyl Pulse, the third series of Android Mini Collectibles will be released sometime in Q2 2012. The set will feature the artists listed in the above graphic and will be a one-production-run series. That means buy ‘em fast.
A Little Bit on the Choice Side: Labbit stew, anyone? Hot on the heels of the Glossy Smorkin’ Labbit is the Choice Cuts Labbit from Kozik and Kidrobot, complete with a bone for smorkin’. The 10” will run $80 on February 9.
