Wind Waker HD Bundle Confirmed
It’s officially confirmed: Nintendo is doing a Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Limited Edition deluxe set. The gamepad’s covered in Zelda stuff and it looks pretty cool. Price hasn’t been announced yet, so the reasonable guess is $350.

The Evolution of Nintendo Controllers

Here’s an awesome video that goes through the evolution of Nintendo's console controllers. The video, created by , is bright and cartoony and pretty damn neat looking!

Muramasa Rebirth Looks BALLIN’

Sadly, I never got to finish the original Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii. See… at the time I was a broke and unemployed blogger (and I still am!), so I pirated a copy for my hacked Wii. Jerk move, I know, but I was (and still am) broke.

I wound up having to update the firmware on my Wii to play Xenoblade Chronicles and the update essentially un-hacked my shit. Bummer

But the good news is Marvelous AQL is releasing an updated version called Muramasa Rebirth for the PlayStation Vita. And unlike the Wii version where you had to press UP on the D+Pad to jump, there’s an honest-to-goodness jump button. TECHNOLOGY! Oh yeah, and there’s extra content and new playable characters too.

Pretty stoked for my chance to get back into this game and actually BUY a copy. Gonna’ look fresh on that OLED screen.

Wind Waker Is Getting An HD Upgrade For WiiU

And it looks gorgeous! It almost has a claymation look to it. Better yet, Nintendo is finishing it up so we have a Zelda game to play while they work on an all new Zelda adventure just for WiiU!

Check out a bunch of other big announcements below in the latest Nintento Direct vdeo like Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, new Virtual Console stuff like Game Boy Advance games, and an untitled Yoshi game that I’m calling Yoshi’s Epic Yarn.

New Hyrule Historia Cover Is Pure Class
Hey, listen! The book detailing the history of The Legend of Zelda just got a new and improved cover. I was able to flip through the Japanese version, and while I wasn’t super impressed, I’ll definitely be picking up the English version. The book more heavily covered the recent games and only had a few pages dedicated to the pre-N64 titles. I’d love to play a magic ocarina to travel back to 1985 and ‘86 while the original game was being developed, but since that’s probably not going to happen, I’ll settle for the few pages of insight this book provides.

Cutest Dog Cosplay Probably Ever.
Somebody on deviantART going by volko-dav got the awesome idea to dress their dog up like Amaterasu from Okami. I kind of want a dog now so I can dress it up all geeky.

Link From Skyward Sword Now In Figma Form!

It’s about damn time! Good Smile Company announced the Skyward Sword version of Link from the one and only Zelda series will be available this October for around $50. He comes with multiple facial expressions, the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Figma stand, and a cool swooshy sword swipey effect thingamajig.

Clearly, this isn’t the type of thing you leave in the box in order to preserve its mint condition. No, these are meant to taken out of the box and posed to turn your boring old shelves into epic scenes of awesomeness.

The Last Story Gets a Limited Edition
Hironobu Sakaguchi’s newest game, The Last Story, is getting a pretty neat limited edition. All copies of the game’s first printing will include a soft-cover art book and display box. This almost makes up for the fact that North America didn’t get the sweet Xenoblade limited edition with the red Classic Controller Pro.

Dragon Quest X Keyboard Looks Goo-ed
I’m not really planning on getting Dragon Quest X since I haven’t played IX yet, but I would like to trade in my Mini Medals for some of the game’s accessories. I’ll probably pick up the neat-o thumbdrive, and if I’m feeling awfully silly I might grab this ridiculous keyboard. It will cost about $50 but the stares from my coworkers will be priceless.

A Little Bit On The Nintendo Direct Side: Here’s the latest Nintendo Direct video. Some highlights include the North American box art reveal for Xenoblade Chronicles, official announcement of The Last Story coming stateside, and a new game headed to the 3DS eShop called Dillon’s Rolling Western (check out the full trailer) which looks pretty awesome and promises around 20 hours of gameplay.

UPDATED: The Last Story andPandora’s Tower Dated for North America Europe!

UPDATE - I Am A Stupid: In my excitement, I overlooked the small fact that this info comes from a European press release. Sorry to get everyone’s hopes up!!!

After endless months spent whining about it, North American European fans will finally get two of the most-talked-about Wii RPG’s that most people (aside from the cool kids) have never heard of. The Last Story drops February 24th, 2012 and Pandora’s Tower will be coming out some time in the second quarter of 2012.

No word on whether or not we’ll you’ll be getting the sexy slipcase with The Last Storyor the devilishly handsome black case for Pandora’s Tower, but we aren’t holding out breath. Shit, we’re you’re just lucky enough to be getting these games at all.

A Little Bit On The “Xenoblade Chronicles" Side: Xenoblade Chronicles is FINALLY coming to North America next year, possibly in April. Nintendo seemed pretty adamant against bringing this to the states, even though it’s critically acclaimed in other territories. Their minds may have been changed by the online movement Operation Rainfall, and depending on the sales of Xenoblade Chronicles, Nintendo might bring Wii RPG’s Pandora’s Tower and The Last Story to North America as well. So, in a nutshell, if you care about good RPG’s and own a Wii, go pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles! Oh, and it might be a GameStop exclusive, so yeah…
Note: Check out Tumblr’s tagged posts for Xenoblade to see a buttload of peeps freaking out over this. It’s kind of a big deal.
